‘I WANT TO BE INVINCIBLE AGAIN,’ SAYS LUSTIG, WHO’S HERE FOR TEN IN A ROW

CELTIC defender Mikael Lustig has been an Invincible before with Rosenborg.

But the Swedish international right-back reckons doing it again with the Hoops would be an even greater achievement.

Lustig was undefeated as he helped the Norwegian outfit to a memorable campaign seven years ago.

This time around, Brendan Rodgers’ team have racked up a 41-match domestic run and are just six games from completing a fabulous sequence of results.
Lustig said: “At Rosenborg, we went through a season in the league without losing.

“We went close the season before, but the season after went the whole way and to go through two full seasons with just one loss was quite impressive.

“You only play 30 games a season in the Norwegian league, but still need to be focused to do it.

“There can be a referee decision or something that can change it, but our strength this season has been to go and go and go.

“It doesn’t matter if we feel as though we are struggling a wee bit, we just go on. It’s a long season and you are going to have some dips.

“We might have had a wee one in December, we didn’t play the best, but still managed to win our games.

“In the games before last Sunday, we also dropped some points. But in the semi-final we proved we are back on top.

“It’s about mentality. We have played a lot of games and have shown the ability to keep going.”
