DEJECTED skipper Scott Brown admitted he was “ashamed” by his side’s dismal display in the 2-0 defeat in Malmo.
Ronny Deila’s men were undone by two simple corner-kicks as they took a nosedive in the Champions League.
Brown, who toiled throughout an appalling 90 minutes, said: “I’m ashamed of the performance.
“We’ve got high expectations always at this club and we need to try and deal with it.
“We should be a lot better than that. Today, the performance wasn’t there.”
The Hoops had two opportunities to gatecrash the £15million Europe elite group stages last season and blew it twice.
Now, after being 2-0 up in 10 minutes of the first leg, they have contrived to lose 4-3 on aggregate and complete a disastrous hat-trick.
They will discover their Europa League opponents in Thursday’s draw.
