Tough day. We seem to play ourselves into trouble constantly – the tiki-taka stuff in dangerous areas where we lose possession 50% of the time is heart-in-the-mouth territory.
Well done to McGregor, Scott Allan when he came on, Griff who worked hard and scored a peach. Simunovic really looks the part and Boyata looks much better beside him. Gordon looks much more secure with those 2 in front of him.
Tierney is IMO an absolute diamond. Captain in a couple of years.
We DESPERATELY need an anchor in midfield. I would play Efe in there, right now.
But all in all, well done the Bhoys and Ronny. Rough tough place to go, you’re going to get kicked up and down the pitch with no protection from the ref and to come through 3-1 three days after Thursday night’s boot in the baws is a good day’s work.
Stokesy – understand the frustration, but if you start using Twitter you’ve already lost your argument.
Carlton Cole – possibly the funniest debut I have seen in 50 years of watching Celtic. The look on his face when the ball trickled over the line – hilarious. “See that? That wisny me.”
Got a good feeling about big CC.
Seven points clear. That’s all I want to say about that.

If Carlton Cole is the answer, then I’m not quite sure what the question was…..
He looks as if his best days are years behind him and now has the subtlety and touch of a sledgehammer cracking a tiny diddy SPFL nut.
Why did Delia the Dud sign him and Cifci, and also keep hold of Stokes in the window?
Rank bad management in my honest opinion.
Combine three salaries and the fee for Cifci and we could have afforded a half decent striker?
Is Delia complicit in Lawwell’s plan to be competitive with Sevco?
This race to the bottom malarkey is truly bizarre.
Carlton Cole would make our previous acquisition of Dion Dublin seem like a marquee signing.
You couldn’t make it up what’s happened at Celtic these last few seasons .

Willie Collum blew for half time at 44.57, pedantic, but surely there was at least one stoppage in the first half, then 2mins injury time, am sure most subs were used, Collum is inadequate, if ICT had the ball in our half the whistle would not have been blown, in my opinion as well as being inadequate Collum is a cheat, the only ref in the world to give a penalty with the eyes in the back of his head

The thing that most impresses me about young Tierney is his defensive ability.
His angles are excellent for one so young and that requires football intelligence which he seems to have in abundance.
His movement going forward is good and so are his choices.
The movement between him and Allan for Griffs goal was brilliant.
Once he puts on a bit more muscle he will be formidable.

Will take any win in Inverness, thought we were better 2nd half and scott allen made a difference. Tierney motm for me. A thought on Bitton he’s too static and causes our defence problems with his habit of playing it back when man is under pressure.
But a good 3 points.

Very pleasantly surprised at the way McGregor has stepped up to the plate in last two games. Thought he had a very good second half today. To be honest I had more or less given up on him and thought he was yet another youth player who would end up earning his corn at Hibs or Dundee. Hope he kicks on from here and establishes himself as a regular first team player.

The tackle on Brown was a straight red in any league.
Not quite…………..I can think of one exception, When such a tackle is made on the most hated player in the most hated team in this particular league, it’s a ‘fair’ tackle.
On today’s game, I felt there were a few real positives. Allan’s performance, MacGregor’s too (hope he can make the most of this chance to be the player I thought we were getting back from Notts Co.) Cole (when he gets fit) and Ronny for changing what wasn’t working in that first half.
In the days before social media, Stokes would have got on the phone to his ma/ da/ mates, had a rant about being in the travelling party to Inverness, got it off his chest and got on with it.
No one in the general public would have been any the wiser.
Now thanks to twitter we know how raging he was. He can’t take the tweet back.
He should think twice before taking to twitter in the future. If he wants a game he must know that this outburst makes it harder for Ronny to pick him.
And if he wants a move he must know that such outbursts won’t impress any would be suitors.

It’s how most footballers are brought up/coached, if you watch Man U play these days they keep the ball for 70% of the game yet create very little. Means you dont lose a goal, of course it also means unless you have something special up top you’ll usually draw the game.

As far as I am concerned it is a dog bites man story. Antony Stokes said he would rather be playing and he did not want to pick up a wage for nothing- perfectly admirable sentiments. The only naughty thing he said was about resenting being in the stand rather than regretting he was not part of the squad.
It’s a fairly small misdemeanour and easily dealt with by the manager. A genuinely weak manager would crack down hard and publicise his actions, so that he would look like a tough manager. A genuinely confident tough manager has no need to “appear” strong and deals with it behind closed doors and does not tell the press the details.
