HT, thanks for that. But deep in my heart I know that I’m a fraud. I want redemption, hopefully as the years pass I will be able to make amends for all the wrongs I’ve made in my life

  3. Incredible commitment to travel up in those conditions. A bit mad if I’m being honest and probably a bit stupid as well. But what supporters, my hat is doffed to ye all.

Rear wheel drive + Drumochter Pass in winter= disaster.

Snow tyres are the answer. They would have got you there.

  6. A quick look at the league table and my team sits proudly at the top with 7 wins and 2 draws from the last 9. Things could be better, but they could be a s*** load worse.

    I’m still with Ronny.

    Goodnight all.

  7. When it snows here, we have to put either winter tyres on or snow chains, no exceptions, or you are done, thankfully it doesn’t snow that much, it gets feckin cold mind you, -6 outside as I type.

No way was I having a dig at ACGR, already applauded his generosity for wee Shay the day, but reposting something that doesn’t sit well makes the blog less of an attraction for me, not got a clue who told tales, don’t really care, just don’t like reading, then reading again a post that isn’t the best in my opinion –

I know you’re not daft so why are you pretending not to understand that if we, the fans, give an extra £3 per season ticket to pay living wage then this increase in revenue then means our CEO’s bonus rises as a result. It’s not feckin rocket science. The more revenue we generate the more his bonus increases.

You ok with that? we pay extra to ensure that the poorest receive the living wage and at the same time our CEO’s bonus rises because of increase in revenue

    So you ring fence it.

    Good grief it bloody simple.

It’s got nothing to do with PL.

It’s about either slicing the cake differently or raising extra funding.

Was the latter ever part of the discussion?

In any business an additional cost that cannot be avoided like NI increase is passed on to the customer or profit falls.

    What’s different in this case?

Remember we are not always in profit.

Today was a better second half performance ( unusual in Europe) and 3 points

When was the last time we performed as bad in Europe as this year? It has been downhill from 2012.

For me the jury is out still.

    How worse could it be?

  15. I heard on the radio that the Celtic officials trying to attend today’s match ,had to turn back at Pitlochry .

This was caused by the blocked road at the Drummochter pass .

It would appear that I made some of our board resign.

In some very snowy countries, it’s compulsory to carry Carlton Cole in the boot of your car in winter.

  20. Today was a potential banana skin, so delighted with 3 points

    A few thoughts

    1) it will take till Xmas to get Carlton Cole fully fit . Also at the 3rd goal it should have been a penalty for us.

    2) Pleased for Calum McGregor – he is never a winger, and all his best will come from playing just off striker, or at front of a midfield diamond. Probably not a 1st even player, but if given a crack he is a useful squad player

    3) Kieron Tierney is a very good prospect, but let’s not over hype him

    4) Scott Allan is a player

    5) I suspect Stuart Armstrong may be about to become a target for boo boys. The position he is being asked to play doesn’t help. I’m not sure what his best position is, but it isn’t where he is currently playing

  21. 3-1 at Inverness; take that any and every time regardles sof performance.

I’ve always been hot and cold regards Stokesy. Much like his time in a Celtic jersey…

But he’s got some skill under the bonnet – magic feet to set up our CL qualification in ’13 – and I’ve never doubted his commitment to Celtic.

His comment today, born of genuine frustration, has been dissected, answered and critiqued by every goon in the SMSM; cannon fodder for those pricks and their cracked crests.

Ronny Deila’s told him to buckle down ansd play his way back into the team a la McGregor. That’s all very well but what kind of example is set by playing Johansen constantly? Hasn’t kicked his own arse all season.

I fear Stokesy is this season’s Scepovic. remember him? £2.8 million striker. Couldnt win favour away from the impostor Guidetti. Sometimes RD needs to assess who’s got his back and who’s playing him.

As for scott Allan – told yeez after that pass on Thursday night we need to cement that lad in the midfield, protect him and give him his chance to show what he can do. He looks a proper footballer but he’ll need the gametime and on-field assistance to stay sharp and fit for us; he’ll get NO protection on Scottish pitches at all especially from those wretched MIBs. I’d assign Efe to be his midfield protector; kick any lumbering hammer-thrower that comes near the bhoy into another dimension, and let’s see if the kid flourishes.

I’ll be doubly pleased to see him develop into some Lubo-esque talent after we managed to turn him from the Dark Side.

    ;))

Good result today….better in the second half.

    Young Tierney…cracking wee player.

Inverness goal was poor….Why didn’t Boyata tackle?

    Good goal from Calum…again.

    Better from Mik Lustig.

Jozo needs coaching, but potential is there.

    Griff….That Bhoy loves it,

    Overall…that will do.

Shortbread bless them, should ICT get a penalty, well since the ball hits our player at about 100 mph and knows nothing about it… Then nothing said about Cole being tackled and a penalty but wiz it handball….hurting huns

I like your posts 99.99% of the time, but the elusive .1% has me baffled :-)

The reason that Ronny, and Lenny before him didn’t play certain players was cos they didn’t sign them, Stefan Scepovic was and is a very decent striker in the right set up, unfortunatly Celtic is not right for him, had RD signed him, he would have persevered with him, he didn’t so he was punted out on loan, the same with a heap that Lenny didn’t play.

Do you honestly believe that Cifci is a Ronny kinda player, jeezo, he is as far from his type as I am ffs, the same with Carlton Cole, now CC may well be an asset in the sphell, but no way on Gods earth did he sign them.

I hope he has an input with some of the younger weans that we are signing, if he has, I am happy enough with the future prospects.

Just scrolling back JJ and saw your post. As always pleasure was all mine.

Mates couldn’t get over the CQN camaraderie in the BV (lucky they don’t read the blog lol). Had a bit of an escape, told BT we were going to head up to the Hoops bar shortly after he had left but given the weather decided just to hightail it up to the KDS instead. Delighted to hear a St James man scoring for the Tic. Point I was making was that like his “colleagues”. Shanley was directing Yogi to the handball, no mention that it was unintentional or Cole being scythed in the box in a rather “agricultural” Ict performance.

Anyway fhriend any word on TCR? That roaster DD was asking after you at the game.

Shortbread TV decide to help soothe huns by showing the previous incarnation fluking it versus Dundee Utd from league cup in the 80’s.

They won’t show the ’79 (10 men won the league) footage despite the poor quality though – will they…

No free lunch is simply a business term that everything comes at a cost to someone.

All I’ve read is that the someone is not us.

We want to pay the LW but someone else to pay?

I don’t care what they earn asking someone else to meet the cost of my ideals is not my way.

I’m surprised others think that is the right thing to do.

Would we expect someone else to pay our round in a bar ? You wouldn’t so what’s the difference?

If that is how negotiations were held I’m not surprised it’s gone pear shaped.

  29. I saw Andy Murray play for GB in the Davis Cup in Umag (Croatia) 2 years ago, Sitting beside us was a 10 year old Croatian boy called Borna who was cheering for Murray against his own country. We learned that Borna is a top juvenile tennis player in Croatia and that his favourite player is Andy Murray as he loves Murray’s style of play. We gave Borna a book about Andy Murray and a couple of small Scotland flags. Andy won his match and Dan Evans won the dead rubber 5th match. Eventually, we had to leave but the next day Borna’s father emailed us a load of pictures which Borna had taken with Andy and he told us that he did not leave that court until he had signed every autograph[h requested and posed for lots of pictures. Andy is a fantastic ambassador for Scottish and British sport..

He is right up there with my Lisbon Lions as the great sporting heroes.,
