‘IT WAS A HARSH LESSON,’ ADMITS RODGERS

BRENDAN RODGERS watched Celtic hit an all-time low for a home European defeat with Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 rout at Parkhead tonight.

And the Hoops boss said defiantly: “I’m not too worried about records.

“However, we could’ve been better in the first-half. We were too passive.

“We started the second-half and I know it’s easier to play when you’re 3-0 down, but we were much better.

“I was proud of the players in that second-half as they continued to work.

“We spoke at half time and were much better after the interval.

“You have to give PSG credit, they have shown why they will be up there with a great chance of winning this competition.

“It was a harsh lesson and a tough lesson.”

Celtic’s next Champions League game is against Anderlecht in Brussels in a fortnight where three points will be crucial.
