‘I’VE GOT NEW TARGETS,’ ADMITS FORREST

1

JAMES FORREST is looking forward to Celtic’s latest instalment of Friday night action when the champions face Partick Thistle at Firhill tonight.

And the Scotland international attacker is gearing up for another examination against Alan Archibald’s side who won 3-0 against St Johnstone in Perth in the League Cup in midweek.

Forrest said: “Friday night games are a bit different, but whenever we play away, the Celtic fans are always there and create a good atmosphere.

“They drew with us 1-1 at Celtic Park towards the end of last season and they did well in getting into the top six.

“It will be a tough game, but we beat them a few times in the previous campaign, so we are looking forward to it and, hopefully, we can get the win.

”The boys have team targets and, although we achieved most of them last year, we have new ones again this season.

“I scored eight goals and got some assists during the last campaign and I just want to better them.

“The manager just tells me to work hard every day and if I do that, the rest will come naturally. Last season was a great one for me and everyone else.

“I just want to keep working hard and see where it takes me.”
