Leigh, Kieran, marking your card

596

The most important result in international week is that we get all our (33) players back fit and ready for Saturday. That looks to be the case, although I hear Erik Sviatchenko had a close shave at Hampden. The job now is for Ronny Deila to assess the preparedness of his squad for the Hearts game. All may be fit, but it’ll be impossible for the likes of Tom Rogic to be at his best after coping with a 12,000 mile journey home and the necessary body clock adjustments.

Ronny will also have to counsel Kieran Tierney, who has had another big week. Teenagers often progress in waves, after with each crest there’s often a trough. The focus for Kieran right now has to be 100% Hearts.

I read Leigh Griffiths had an uneventful game against Denmark. Don’t bet against him shining on Saturday. He’s a player who flourishes with a point to prove.

I’ve not written much on Resolution 12 recently and I don’t see that changing for a few weeks (despite the trolls), but I have been very active on the subject. Anyone who thinks I’d skip over this is welcome to self-certify as a mindless troll below (I’m counting on at least one being sufficiently mindless…).

What I’d like to do is mark your card on this one. Completely erroneous claims have been made. Outrageous things have been written. There’s a Kangaroo Court underway which would do Salem proud. Let the loons run with their agenda of running Celtic down, but be circumspect. Your card’s been marked.

You are being played, all right, but not by Celtic.

  10. the glorious balance sheet on

Some wild talk on here again of “entryist” power hungry Celtic fans doing a disservice to those poor folk on the Celtic board, while more promises of jam tomorrow as the board stays silent in the face of SFA and Hun cheating, hiding behind the cover of shareholders

much in the same way they hid behind the fans after the Inverness semi final last season, remember the “we have been asked to comment on refereeing decisions by our fans” statement issued after that game?

    Time for a song I think……

Let the plc sing their stories and their songs

And the views spread by their gallant band

Of bloggers and “pals ay mine” and expats that long for Croy

    So join their Tory band

All across the old main stand

    “Pedro will speak next time”

It was bigots that pleased the plc

Those Huns paying 40 quid a time

It was back in ancient times, the Huns would tell a story

Of cashflows, of millions, of taxes unpaid again

From David murray’s times, Craig Whytey’s forced penury

Well the Huns they did defraud but no trophies were debarred

So let the plc sing their stories and their songs

  11. I don’t think the last part of the article by Paul is helpful as it introduces an ‘us’ and ‘them’ air about RES 12. Us being those who support the board and Auldheid et al’s handling of the requisitioners’ concerns and them being the Trolls ie: anyone who questions the actions of the board and Auldheid et al’s handling of the requisitioner’s concerns.

I canvassed for and supported Canalmar and Morrisey 23, the two requisitioners in the autumn of 2013.

When in Feb 2014 I saw Auldheid saying on here that the supporters had been given feedback, and my supporters hadn’t (while at the same time I was shown e-mail feedback to others) I took the matter up with the requisitioner Canalamar as I didn’t lobby for support for Auldheid who seemed to have taken over the process.

The response to my polite inquiry was hostile and shocking and if those on here who think that the vitriol is all heaped on the two requisitioners (or the extended team that included BRTH and Auldheid) they should think again.

To many Celtic supporters Walfrid is much more than a man who died over a hundred years ago.

In my opinion, and it’s only my opinion, to refer to him in such dismissive terms is disgraceful.

  13. St Stivs,

Just my take on this, Paul states he has been very active, but he can’t reveal what he has been doing, or with who, but things are happening, or at least Paul is attempting to have influence/get things done.

His public silence may go on for several more weeks, despite goading, that’s patience.

I would find that difficult. Patience is a virtue, but not one I have in excess.

So what do we know is happening currently that may cause the silence?

An up coming Semi-Final? not likely.

A number of Court cases regarding a Phoenix company and its origins?

    Perhaps.

He stated erroneous claims have been made, seems he reads my posts:-)

Paul has met difficult subjects head on in the past, there must be reasons why his public silence remains.

And when those reasons are lifted……………

I trust the man to inform us what and when he can.

I admit I have felt frustrated, angry even with the delay, obfuscation, but reading that I am re-assured.

Not certain the result will be what I want nor expect of course, but that efforts for the right thing to be done are being made.

Canamlar, BRTH, Auldheid and Morrissey are guys to be trusted too I think.

You’ll be missed. Your absence will also be celebrated.

Think about that, please. And stick two fingers up and stick around.

  30. Hamiltontim, I walked away from the RES 12 issue two years ago because I didn’t want to cause a split in the CQN camp. Many on here have been fair with me and though my experiences with RES 12 were bad and I didn’t hold out much hope for it I was prepared to be proven wrong.

We now seem to be right back were we strarted from with Celtic FC apparently wanting nothing to do with RES 12 so it looks as if they have bought two years and more silence on the issue and with the imminent arrival of Rangers they will with justification be able to say that any comment by them before an OF game would be inflamatory.

Having stayed under the radar with this issue it means that most Celtic supporters don’t know of it so any attempt now to garner support for a seperate action on the RES 12 concerns will be difficult at the momentum that started RES 12 has been lost.

I think that is a shame.
