LENNON SALUTES RODGERS

FORMER Celtic boss Neil Lennon praised Brendan Rodgers for his tactical know-how in the 3-3 stalemate with Manchester City.
The Hibs gaffer also singled out four Hoops players for special mention – including Scotland international keeper Craig Gordon who is battling Dorus de Vries for the No.1 position.
Lennon said: “Celtic were brilliant. You have to give a lot of credit to Brendan Rodgers – the way he set the team up, the mentality, his substitutions.
“Some of the players really surpassed themselves, as well.
“I’m talking about Moussa Dembele, Scott Sinclair and Scott Brown – again! – while Craig Gordon also restored his reputation.”
Celtic’s next Champions League encounter is against Borussia Monchengladbach in Glasgow on October 19.
The Bundesliga giants are bottom of Group C after two consecutive defeats – 4-0 against Manchester City at The Etihad and 2-1 at home to Barcelona in midweek.
