Thought we’d go through with a 1-1. Malmo not great but had obviously done their homework on us.
Losing four goals to corners (one of them ours for goodness sake) is not on. Never been a fan of zonal marking.
Not sure why Commons came on so early. Our best bet was to hold it at 0-1 as long as possible.

Well I didn’t see that coming. Remarkably bad performance. If only they had a Champions League for hide and seek Brown and Johansen would win it for sure. Just heard Ronny’s presser and he showed his players how not to hide. Really feel for the guy. He’s a really good guy and I really want him to succeed, but tonight was an epic fail. Not to learn from your mistakes is an epic tactical fail. Losing three goals to the same tactic in the same way is beyond failure. It’s negligence. I give pass marks to Forrest, Janko and Gordon. The rest were absolutely crap. We have a lot to learn from Malmo. A fraction of our budget, playing in just as poor a league and having rebuilt their team in the close season. They’re nothing more than honest, committed and ordinary, but they had heart, courage and desire. Good for them. Shame on us. Guess our future now is beating up the footballing pygmies of the SPFL. Not very exciting I’m afraid. I’m away out to see if I can find Scott Brown…

Same old same old. The team were very poor. No fight…many with no feeling or affiliation to Celtic therefore will get paid no matter what and only use the club to further their personal ambition. I would exempt KC from that description. But are we really back to Sack the Board days?
Who would you have us sign? Would they sign? What would it cost in wages? How much would you spend? Would you risk bankruptcy? And even with all that,there is the chance that these expensive imports on high wages will flop in the backwater of Scottish football.
I think the problem is more fundamental than spending money. I do not subscribe to the view that the board should be throwing money at an over- inflated market. But there should be more young players coming through the ranks by now, who are Celtic Supporters and desperate to play for the Club.
I think the board ARE guilty of allowing the Ethos of what made Celtic different, to be casually diminished to the point of non- existence.
Find it hard to read people say they have no interest in the EL.
On the off chance of us,getting to the latter stages and drawing a big team from Italy or Germany or engurland……. I wonder if they’ll still have no interest.
25 years ago we were lucky to get to December and still be in Europe – almost always the UEFA cup…..

As I said before…Celtic away in Europe has been problematical for many, many years. Our run to Seville was a real contradiction of the norm.
No wonder RD looked shell shocked. He believes in his players but they didn’t seem to believe in themselves! Now maybe he’s wrong and they simply are not good enough at this level, in which case he is culpable, no question. But…
…we’re not talking about winning and losing here we are talking doing the day to day routine stuff of being a professional footballer. For whatever reason the players didn’t kept to their part of the bargain… do your job.
That’s the thing which really needs to be addressed…do your job! If we win, great. If we lose but do our jobs…that’s life!
So….there is something mentally insipid about our club when we travel abroad (for the most part). Being going on for years…time to fix it….please!!!

The Bonus Thief Lawwell will sell VIrgil and pocket his £1M taking his total compensation at Celtic to £10M which makes him the highest paid employee in Celtics history …without scoring a goal. The team will be downsized further.
No striker …no surprise no goals. We bought a guy who was always going to receive a 6 game ban and will end up like Balde , Pukki, Rasmussen and Scepovic. Our Director of Football Lawwell has ensured this Celtic team is once of the most toothless in the clubs history.
Lawwell has cost Celtic £50M of revenue in 12 months.

Your derogatory dismissal of CQN subscribers as board lackeys is insulting.
There is ample discussion here across all aspects of Celtic from board room level all the way down to youth team levels.
Most of us are Celtic supporters. Some are fans and a few are shit stirrers from down the river.
We ALL want success. We ALL want an attractive side on the park.
Personally I don’t care who is on the board.
I do care who is on the park.
By any measure we are a well run club, structurally.
I and again I say MOST on here want that to be translated to the park.
Our players let us down tonight. Not the structure or organisation at Celric Park.
Too many did not live up to their billing.
Thankfully my team will compete in the EL this year. The thought of this Celtic team coming up against Barca, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich is an embarrassing doing. Only one pass mark tonight Craig Gordon. Virgil and Dedryck are rank rotten at European level. Scunnered!

Were in a league with competition. We have no bench mark.
Average players are elevated to top class exposed when the quality of opposition improves.
We crave competition domestically, winning the treble this year will prove as much as winning the tour de france on a motorbike
And this is not a knee jerk reaction, I have been saying for years that the policy needs tweaked.
I am not advocating changing it completly.
The basic idea is sound, the gems are, well gems, but we are a football team, or we should be, football first, business second, cos without a football team that is playing well and winning, there is no business.

It’s not really about individual errors for me. It’s more to do with the collective, attitude and will power would have carried us over the line, in my opinion the team lost because it was a collection of individuals thinking introverted thoughts trying hard not to fail. No man can stand alone against the tide.

I apologised coz in making my opinion heard I acted very erm hunlike.
My points were valid, as are everyones.
No need for me to act like a dick in making them.
Bourne, I see what you mean. We really are stuck in a rut while we play in Scotland.
We have seen our team concede really daft goals in away matches each season we have been in Europe since 1974.
Most of our european away games follow the same pattern.
My reasoning for some older European players is for their experience and game management.
When Ajax were beating us 1 nil in the home leg of playoff game in 2001, it was only when lubo came on that night, his experience helped us see out the game and qualify.
The whole club needs to realise we cant continue this situation where we are thought of as a big club with great fans but no threat on the pitch.

Saw someone call Malmo ‘workmanlike’. If Malmo can keep playing ‘workmanlike’ right throughout the Champions League then I hope they make the last 16.
Perhaps if Celtic adopt the euphemism once in a while, we might actually get somewhere.
Not so long ago, Tony Mowbrays tic were being outclassed by Arsenal in our attempts to qualify for Champs league group stage.
Then the big wigs done what you would of thought was a massive favour, and created the Champions route to qualification.
The fact we have failed spectacularly two seasons on the trot, even with the Champions route , is pretty damning.
When the govern body switch things up again, because the Champions of Scotland never justify the Champions route, then we will be condemned as a forgotten name on the Euro elite scene.
Remember that club Celtic?
