McLEAN GETS SCOTTISH CUP TASK

1
STEVEN McLEAN will take charge of Celtic’s Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against St Mirren at Parkhead on Sunday.
It will be the match official’s first game concerning the Hoops in the national competition since handling Inverness Caley Thistle’s controversial 3-2 win over Ronny Deila’s team in the 2015 semi-final.

McLean and his assistants missed Josh Meekings’ blatant handball to prevent a header from Leigh Griffiths making it 2-0 just before half-time.

Craig Gordon was ordered off shortly after the interval as John Hughes’ outfit won with a goal late in extra-time from David Raven.
Willie Collum will be the fourth official at Parkhead when the trophy favourites take on the Championship side.
Clearly impressed by his Hampden performances the SFA appointed McLean to referee last season’s Scottish Cup Final but things didn’t go according to plan when Hibs beat Rangers 3-2 to lift the silverware for the first time in 114 years.
