No arguements here, I think one up front is a bot of a joke in Adotland but I suppose the manager is trying to I still his philosophy into the players and if you are trained to do a job but all of a sudden just change it because fans or others think you should is pretty stupid, some might say we could have went with two up front today but the manager is just judging today’s game he is thinking about Thursday and the next 6 games, do I agree with him ? Doesn’t matter as my opinion isn’t worth the letters we type, if Ronny walked into your workplace and started telling you to do things different I am sure you would tell him where to go……a wee bit like if me or you tell Ronny what to do…..it’s great arguing/disagreeing/commenting on Ronny when we are top,of the league and about to beat Molde on Thursday !
“Sftb. None of what you say is wrong per se. But it’s very ‘focussed’ – The snobs you describe did (and still do) exist but they wouldn’t last long in a clubhouse in South Wales or the Borders or on a pitch with a south sea islander”
Jim Renwick was one of the products of those Borders clubhouses but I get your drift.
Those self same snobs could shut down the clubhouses in Wales and the Borders because they run the game. I am glad the game is dragging itself into the modern world but I will never accept them or golfers or cricketers taking the moral high ground with me and the sport I love.
I grew up in a world where you could get 10 minute updates on the cricket score progress of Sri Lanka vs Pakistan on the radio, or minor county games watched by single figure spectators but you would be lucky to hear mention of the result of a Celtic game in a European Cup quarter final. A world where the Oxbridge sports attracted favourable coverage and, therefore, even more favourable sponsorship money.
The day that anyone of their exponents tries to take a moral high ground over football culture, they will catch an earful.
I have no problem with crc’s more careful delineation of the benefits of video replaying for refs- he managed that without straying into calling it a superior game watched by superior people.
P.S. Of course it was not Rugby that I beat the All Blacks at but beat them I did.

What have the Romans ever done for us?
Hmm well — they started democratic government when Rome was founded in 753 BC although they later lost the plot under the emperors.
They invented cement, built great big constructions, developed the arch as a building and architectural tool, built 280,000 miles or Roads throughout Europe and beyond, introduced the first proper justice systems, dveloped the concept of aquaducts and running water in our cities and towns, introduced sewers, and a whol load of other things.
Of course along the way, they slaughtered a few million people, persecuted the jews and the christians, murdered and poisoned one another, declared themselves gods, and in many respects were completely barking.
I have just finished writing just short of 50,000 words on their excesses.
What never ceases to amaze me is that not long after the time of Jesus Christ, the city of Rome had over 1 million inhabitants.
No other city on the planet came close to that size until London some 1800 years later.
By the time Napoleon Bonaparte’s army marched into Rome on February 10th 1798, Rome was one tenth of the size it had been under the emperors and the French found cattle and other animals grazing and running wold in and around the centre of the city.
At its absolute height, 117 AD during the reign of the greatest emperor of all (Trajan the spaniard) Rome Governed some 2.75 Millon square kilometres of land.
It was and remains the greatest lunatic asylum of a city on this earth!

Watched the game today on an illegal sausage!!
After the game I had the urge to phone, txt and FB the timiverse and moan about the blatant CHEATING (and thats what it was and we were fortunate to get the 3 points on offer today.)
Then I got to thinking about it.
That, at the moment, is the best they have to offer.
Cheating.
Aberdeen have WAG-imploded.
The huns have TAX-imploded and imploded a hundred different ways and will no doubt continue to implode in ways this poster hasn’t thought about (l cant wait for the court case to get down and dirty as the huns involved all try to eat each other alive!!)
There are no other real threats to our dominance at the moment APART from the referees and the HFA (Hun Football Assoc!!)
They will implode in due course as the hatred that has kept the solid will have to explode outward and rip them apart. It is the way of all regimes where hatred has pulled them together. They will implode and die.
In the meantime, all they have to offer is the refs.
Which we MUST make our focal point of attack to the HFA.
Make it public and make it bloody.
If we lose then we get a few more years of shitty referring decisions.
If we win the it is a level playing field.
Make it bold and make it bloody and………….
…………….bury the feckers

Was loose head prop, then wing, then outside centre….took 4 years to find my position ;-))
Sftb for all your criticism of the egg chasers it is a fairer game than we witnessed today. Shocking refereeing of an anti Celtic bias or in other words cheating. It’s been going on for over 100 years and will never change. I’m fed up with it and not sure if I want to be part of it anymore.
All I’m saying is PL should let fans know that they note these things and think of and carry out the best course of action to stop it.
How they best do that I don’t know, but it’s surely sense to let the support know that they have the same concerns about our public image as we do. It annoys me that people believe him and his sloped views every te were on SKY.
Had a wee look back , no sign of Lennybhoy or Cowiebhoy tonight , hope all is well ..

Getting really pissed of with with this CQN magazine stuff
How about this for a summary
CHAMPIONS Celtic are back in pole position after this hard-fought, narrow victory over Motherwell at Fir Park – but, once again, it was far removed from champagne football.
The only goal arrived in a rare moment of invention from a surprisingly lethargic Hoops team
And near the end, Commons summed up the performance when he was awarded a free-kick after a crude challenge from McManus about 25 yards out. Griffiths wanted to take it, but the midfielder insisted and promptly ballooned a shot high, wide and anything but handsome
If it was on the BBC website or the MSM we would be up in arms. Yet here is it allegedly penned by one of our own, though unlike the former, no one has the balls to put there name to the article.
For what it is worth, I thought some of our football today was excellent.

Ha, I messed up there :-)
3 things I would introduce to bring greater transparency into the game
1)Video technology/ replaying
2) Video ref to assist/call the decision What does the 4th official actually do just now to benefit the game?
3)Give the ref a mike to explain decisions through the game
Keep the ball round though :-)
