Relieved to get last night’s game out of the way. Ross County limited us to few chances. The opening goal was a shot which Erik Sviatchenko didn’t connect cleanly with, a defender tried to block but failed to make contact, only succeeding in blocking his keeper’s view, before the ball found the corner of the goal.
When the added two minutes at the end of the first half were announced, County visibly pulled tighter, waiting on the break. That was a mistake. In the most composed moment of the game, Stuart Armstrong twisted this way, then that, before carving an opening he took with aplomb.
We now have two days to recuperate ahead of the final game before the midseason break; our ninth game of what will be an exhausting month. We’ll talk more about this game tomorrow, it will be far from easy, so please don’t be misled by the 5-1 win over Newco earlier in the season. They are shambles of a football team, but this is a different challenge.
Thanks to everyone who supported our Mary’s Meals appeal for the Sean Devereux Primary School in Liberia this week, we’ve already achieved great things there.
Our Foundation’s big project for 2017, Walfrid’s Wish, launched last night. It’s an opportunity for each of us to join the Foundation in a formal capacity – to be one of its Champions.
I think this is a key strategy for the future of Celtic. We’ve done so much in recent years to bring our founding sentiment back to the forefront of the club. The challenge remains to push the boundaries further, and to keep them there.
To achieve this, for years and decades to come, we need to organise. We need to keep telling ourselves what Celtic is all about, to encourage each other share and live our common values, and – hopefully – make participation in the Foundation an everyday part of being a Celtic supporter for 100% of our community.
On its simplest level, Walfrid’s Wish is a membership scheme. You become a member of the Foundation Champions community. It’ll cost you £3 per month.
I suspect we’re 40% of the way along the road of where we could be as a community, much of that progress has been achieved within the last five years, but we need innovative ways to spread the message. This has an excellent chance of reinvigorating the sentiment that those who gathered in St Mary’s church hall all those years ago.
You can sign up here, go for it.

Thanks Annoni,
11th May 2016, The Sun’s interview with Mr Peter Lawwell, CEO of the PLC.
The week of the Hillsborough verdict.
The reality for me that win, lose or draw tomorrow represents a low point in the history of Celtic.
All the best to the players, football management and supporters.

Aye Peter….Im sure loads of Celtic fans will applaud you for ignoring the hun cheating and corruption.
Well done.
Must have been difficult to shaft your own supporters to keep the Old Firm going.
Still….im sure the servants of the Crown will offer good advice
Morning all.
Firstly condolences to those CQNers who have lost loved ones recently.
Secondly, my thoughts with those who have loved ones who are suffering ill-health.
Thirdly, best wishes to those celebrating a birthday today.
…and finally very best wishes to the Knox family on the arrival of a new baby. Truly marvellous news!
HH!!
Morning All,
I hope everyone had a good Christmas and is looking forward to 2017.
I was delighted to hear last night of the new arrival in the house of Stephen and Leona Knox.
A wee brother for Izzie and a child to be cherished and loved by a wonderful family.
Life is a funny thing. It creeps up on you and surprises you sometimes.
On Boxing day night I sat in my sisters house with my kids around me and wondered at the general merryment and goodwill all around.
My oldest son was in great form but he wanted to get home to the countryside as his girlfriends parents and family were arriving for lunch the following day. They had come from New Orleans and so he wanted everything to be just right which meant advanced preparation.
In turn, that meant that I decided not to have anything to drink so that I could take him home around 10:30 and then drive back into Glasgow to stay at my sisters and then take the rest home the following morning.
I was back in less than an hour after a 40 mile round trip. My son was greatly appreciative of my decision to drive and I was driving back on my own I was thinking that my decision was greatly inspired by my late father — that is just the kind of thing he would have done and obviously it is from him that I learned all I know about being a dad.
Back in the house, I had my first drink – not a big one — just a glass of champagne which had been kept for me. My second son then took over the playing of music which until that point had been mostly a mixture of modern and not so modern pop music and rock etc.
However, out of the blue came the sound of the Clancy Brothers singing the parting glass. My dad had known them all well, had at one time sang with Tommy Makem in New York, and had acted as agent for them and the likes of the Dubliners in Scotland.
For absolutely no reason and without warning I started to cry. Not a solitary sad tear either, I mean a real howling cry with lots of tears yet I knew I wasn’t crying out of grief or sadness as such but out of that feeling which tells you that a loved one may be gone in body but is still very much present in spirit.
My dad’s spirit is alive and well in his children and his grandchildren.
So, all of the above is written for the benefit (if you like) of Doc and anyone else who has lost a loved one recently.
You don’t know it yet but they are still here, still within you and will still influence your every day decisions whether you like it or not — they will even choose the bloody music from beyond the grave! Watch out for that as it catches you unawares!
And Yeah, if they instilled the Celtic into you then you will still hear them shouting in your ear at a match!
2017 is going to see a pretty big charity drive on my part, with a big push for things which will improve the lives of others in the name of Celtic fans.
However, on another front a wee parish in Stirlingshire (150 parishoners) is trying to feed 265 waens in Liberia for a year.
This has nothing to do with Celtic really but if you feel like helping out then please feel free to do so by way of the link below.
The big stuff is coming later.
Best wishes and prayers for all the souls who have passed this year and others.

I dont mind a bit of banter at all.
But ignoring the reality of hun cheating, does my head in.
We are being shafted by the huns….while the snakes on the PLC, look the other way.
As far as im concerned…the PLC have been helping their sevco pals.
I despise them for selling out Celtic supporters.
Heated Driveway….he can GTF as far as im concerned.
Sick of the lying toerags.
BTW…im not having a go at you.
HH
TD67
Steven McLean…..say no more.
Only in this medieval monstrosity of a wee country….would you get Sevco supporters refereeing a Celtic-
Sevco match.
Its corrupt to Feck.
Its staring you all right in the face….but you all lap it up.
Why dont you all fecking stand against it for once.
Like i said….SHAFTED
BAAA BAAAA
As predicted,Police Scotland have banned Celtic fans from wearing hard hats tomorrow.
Health and Safety reasons, apparently. Though mandatory in any other unsafe structure.
Amazing the lengths they’ll go to in order to find our behaviour offensive.
Personally,I think ear defenders to block out the sectarian bile from the other parts of the stadium would be more appropriate.
That’ll be the sectarian bile that Police Scotland will cop a deaf ‘un to,btw…
A sevco in-law has just this morning admitted to me their biggest chance of a result is the home crowd, and the ‘rangers supporting ref’.
Would this be allowed in England, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Argentina?
Maria the cook (aka the wife) bought this print for a couple of friends and family
It’s by artist Stephen Murray and it depicts penguins,Glasgow penguins, and I really loved it mainly because the largest penguin, front and centre, is wearing the hoops.
I was then disappointed to notice an obvious Hun penguin, awnaw as they say.
Until my youngest points out the Hun penguin is walking away.
Happy days, hope the link works I’m not he best

TGM it’s been ongoing for over 100 years. Masons and Orangemen have been refereeing Celtic Rangers games since the beginning. Cheating by the SFA has also been an ongoing issue.
The only difference is that it is now more evident.

Your not wrong :-)
Masons, Huns, on the PLC….Infiltration…….look the other way.
Steven McLean, Craig Thompson, Bobby Madden, John Beaton.
Regan and Dungcaster…..Glibby, Quiffy, and all the Hun Media
YOU ALLOW THIS TO GO ON
Because you meekly accept it.
Back of the bus mentality gone berserk.
MILD MANNERED PEDRO DELGADO
I think he’s having a “comfort break”!
I no longer have the ‘fear’ when we play sevco
I used th wake up on the morning of the match unable to eat and a nervous wreck
Tomorrow I will be up for it like any other game but no longer worry about those bigot clowns
Tgm and vfr
Correct. ‘Medieval monstrosity’.. Powerful if a bit ott, but still resonant phrase. Makes my’ socially inferior European backwater ‘ line look rather tame.
All on show tomorrow.
The hard hat ban was on the cards, its our state ran Calvinist polices Scotland and SNP government, were having to much fun right now enjoying life to the full with everything in the garden rosy, what’s not to like, distractions like our own trying to stop us enjoying ourselves that’s the one a don’t get at all? Turning they’r guns on PL and the CFC board, that I’ll never get, in discussion on here or anywhere else it’s pointless, it’s what they do, you can’t even wish them a happy new year ffs, cause they’r not going to have one, it’s in they’r DNA.
Constant moaning and spreading unhappiness on the Celtic family with they’r daft agenda, but in saying that, it’s what makes them happy a suppose, so who am I to judge, wee bit of Calvinism in them too? God only knows.
new article posted.

My grandad told me all this 60 odd years ago, I’m thinking you think you’ve stumbled onto something that we all don’t know?
NEWSFLASH……..eh, we know.
You have been hypnotized by the snakes on the board.
They tell you that Celtic is their life…..but ignore the hun corruption.
The thing is….they are not Celtic supporters.
Check it out yourself if you dont believe it.
Do some research.
Who does Lord Livingstone represent?
Is it me?….Is it you?
In what capacity is he on the board?
To what purpose?
Honestly….Ive had enough of it all
I despise the PLC for lining their pockets while ignoring the hun corruption
Its not Football…..Its corporate greed.
Heated Driveways and Lords……That is what the PLC represents.
Feck the Old Firm
Feck the Huns
Feck the PLC
Forever Celtic
Hail Hail….to the vast multitude of real Celtic supporters….I love and salute you all
