ROGIC DOES IT AGAIN

CELTIC’S Cup Final matchwinner Tom Rogic scored his seventh international goal for Australia – but he couldn’t prevent Germany winning 3-2 in the Confederations Cup in Russia.

The sensational Hoops playmaker cancelled Lars Stindl’s five-minute opener when he netted just before the break.

However, Jurgen Loew’s team hit back in the second-half with goals from Julian Draxter (pen) and Leon Goretzka before Tomi Juric claimed a second for the Aussies.
Rogic said: “It’s pleasing to score, but in the end it doesn’t count. It’s hard to enjoy it too much.
“Maybe in our first game there were a few nerves in the first-half.

“But we grew into the game and kept the ball for longer periods in the second-half and had a little bit more control.

“We have to build on that moving forward.

”We had good moments through the game, but we made it hard for ourselves when you look at the times we conceded.

“The five minutes just before half-time once we got back into it and then again just after the interval.

“We were always chasing them, but we’ll pick ourselves up and move onto the next one.”

Rogic and Co will now take on Cameroon on Thursday.
