RONNY ON TONIGHT’S REDS

RONNY DEILA roared Celtic into the semi final of the Scottish Cup tonight as his exciting side easily swept aside a increasingly dirty Dundee United at Celtic Park. In a match that saw another two red cards Celtic were always in control and United had no answers all night long. Speaking after the comprehensive 4-0 victory the Celtic boss had this to say:LCF_CELTIC_DUTD_5601

“It was a straight-forward win in the end but there were some angry players out there and some disappointed players, maybe. It got a little bit tense in the end but that’s something we just have to handle.

“I have spoken to Stokesy. He’s bleeding in his mouth after the challenge and he reacted on that I think and we’ll have to see it one more time to see if it’s a red card or not.”

On McGowan’s red card Ronny commented: “It’s a red card in my opinion but I have to see that one more time as well.”

On the match outcome Ronny said: “I’m delighted about the game. I think we played at a very high tempo in big parts of the game and that makes it very hard to cope with us.

“We created a lot of chances and should have scored the second earlier, but when it did come the game opened up and we enjoyed playing.”.

Now Celtic have to do it all again on Saturday when Dundee United return to Parched on league duty. On this Ronny said: “We have to get three points at the weekend and we have to get to the same level and work from there. If we do that and make a good result I’m delighted to play them again.”
