  1. Seems I can’t have a opinion with some on here,I aid we need a centre half ,why because Lustig is a bombs care at times, and another goalkeeper, that’s what I said, but seems if you don’t toe the line on here ,you a gun ,well I can assure you I ain’t no gun,and if I am being critical, then so be it,

  2. Tough game and good 3 points.

Some players got a break, some fringe players got their chance……Armstrong and perhaps Roberts have enhanced their case for more of a starting role.

Interestingly thought we were a little less open when we brought Bitton on, albeit I’m not a fan!

Definitely missed Broony. Covers the fullbacks, protects the centre backs, drives the team forward.

Ps consensus seems to be Gordon was lucky. While decision to come out was poor, never a sending off for me. Was a bit reckless, but wasn’t violent, wasn’t denying a goal scoring chance. Happens anywhere else on the pitch and it’s a booking.

  3. timbhoy3,

I’d be surprised if Mikael gets a new contract, likewise Craig.

Brendan has to get the best out of the Best players he has at the moment. And he is doing it very well. :))

  4. erskinetim,

It is ok to say that Bitton solidified the midfield. :))

He played like he’d been playing against CL players.

    it isnae rocket salad.

Just a wee plug for my ‘local’ here in Spain…. Despite ‘glamour’ from Engerland being on ‘John from Dublin’ had organised the ‘tic game on one of the big screens for the only Tim there! Muchas Gracias !

May of course be because I like a pint of lager or two!!!

Great win.. Delighted. The train keeps rollin along..

CG did similar in Alloa Betfred. I d have sent him off in THAT game… He needs to be cautious re Europe..

Someone asked re the pitch.. My guess,is as the temperature drops through the night ie match it will get more of an issue staying up..

Great night & looking forward to the spin..

Everyone take care coming home ..

Few comments re: 4-0 result with 8 changes to the team. Worth pointing out that we were winning 1-0 until Brendan brought on 3 subs – it only became 4-0 after that. I thought the changed team did well but not sure they’d have seen the game out – Ross County created a few chances and we faded until Brendan changed the game…

I could be wrong, but I think thats called tactics.BR looked at what was happening, brought on Biton, who calmed down the middle, and the two strikers who scored. The starting team might well not have held on,but BR had it all under control. Why the negativity?.

  8. We were very smooth first half…..score should have been 3-1 at HT.

Not to diminish the efforts of the goalkeepers we have faced recently BUT we seem to be shooting far to close to them. I really hope it’s just a phase!

Thought young Christie showed up well for 30 mins.

It’s kind of silly for me to criticise Paddy given he scored and was involved in the goals but from minute two to minute 82 he frustrated the life out of me lol.

    Obviously…..”what do I know”???

I would suggest the evening dew, which, by morning will be a light frost over the ground, like we had here yesterday.

Just why would we need another CH?.We have Erik,Joze and Kolo.Lustig only played there tonight to rest the others, and has been having a great season at Right Back. Most just cant see why you are moaning, thats all.

  12. Dexter says HAVE WE ALL FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE LIVING WAGE AT CELTIC PARK??? on

Strange game tonight. Great start with very good tempo. Could have been a couple up before County came back into it and we looked scrappy then. Equaliser would probably have been deserved but we then upped our game with good subs.

A red card for Gordon might have been harsh but he really could’ve been sent off at a stage when we had no subs left. The frustrating thing is he was excellent bar that rush of blood.

Eric was good. Not convinced about Gamboa at all. Definitely a squad player at best. Izzy was ok. Good back up to KT.

Still think we are too easily opened up by simple through balls and by pace.

McGregor is not to the standard of Brown. Or Armstrong. Or Henderson.

Think Christie still has a future.

Griffiths was frustrated and was silly when booked. Lovely shot on half volley on left, worked hard. Thought good management to hook him.

Wee Roberts far better than Forrest. Should start every time.

Sinclair is best player in Scotland.

All in all, very satisfactory. Think we will hammer Dons.

Gladbach win would be a bonus, but still think we are long way off being confident for away victory in CL.

    —————————————————————————

No negativity – just pointing out that it wasn’t the starting 11 that finished the game. We required to revert to our top players to finish them off.

    Great win tonight,loving it

Young Paddy Roberts cant get into the team and when he does he puts in a performance like that….magnifico

at the start of the season Dembele couldnt get in….now you cant even think of leaving him out…..Last year without Griffiths we were toothless….now he is on the fringes …..

Not all of the above is strictly correct of course but you get my drift…great days

  15. THIRDS63

I get what you’re saying about Roberts. He has the ability to destroy players, and I think we all measure him against that.

Simply put,l though, one goal and one assist.

Glad we scored from his assist when he went on the ‘outside’…..

    Special talent

You are allowed an opinion – you expressed it.

Doesn’t mean everyone has to agree with it.

    You happy we won 4-0?

  17. Stuart Armstrong is infuriating me.

He produces a moment of Genius for the goal, the all important goal, and that should never be forgotten.

He started like a house on fire and then basically disappeared. He is a powerful athlete, a tremendous physique for a centre mid. He was Driving Celtic on very early with great purpose.

Brendan has to get some of the Mad Mental Broonie Belief in him. An exquisite finish so it was.

Seems to me to be a Quiet player (My Son is too quiet on the pitch) and he came alive again when experienced players were introduced.

We got an incredible player, in Scott Sinclair.

  18. Wee Paddy is a star.An entertainer, with a dig to him. Some times he can overdo it a bit,but so could the immortal Jinky at times.Scored a belter and had a big say in the other 3.Great night for him.Should be a shoe in for Saturday.Seems to thrive on a run of games like last season.

  19. I got the impression Roberts was trying to be more of a team player tonight, play to instructions, track back.

He’s obviously a very skillful footballer but to make it to the top these days means you have to do a lot more dirty work. Even if you don’t mean it, even if you don’t make the challenges, following instructions and running into the right areas and making like you mean it is all important. it might mean you’re not always in the position to beat three players and get to the bye line but in terms of the team and what the manager wants it’s more important

Jamesie has taken it on board and that’s why he’s in the team every week. If paddy wants to make it he’ll need to learn

  20. Paddy R has got his pace back, always a worry when coming back from a hamstring injury, a cert to play v BMG for me

  21. Broony,Armstrong,Rogic needing a few games together in midfield.Biton can have a wee spell on the bench. We have the leeway in the league to try out a few things.Biton calmed everything down when he came on tonight.Mc Gregor was very careless tonigh.Izzy could get a lot more games and give KT a break. He was excellent tonight.A right wee pro.Gamboa is still settling in.Links up great with his wingers, could get more starts if the gap keeps widening.

    What gap?.

  22. Thom The Thim

I thought about the dew but is it really much heavier at 8.30 pm than it is at 7.45 pm.

It’s great that being injury free has allowed James Forrest to display the abilities that were always there. And it’s great that he is rivaling a £13m prospect for that right wing slot. A tremendous choice to have.

Scott Sinclair has the left wing slot nailed down. Jamesie is probably the best sub we have for him in that position but Christie and Armstrong have tried hard to be effective there as did Liam H tonight. All 3 of them want Tom Rogic’s slot though Stuart Armstrong could replace Nir Bitton at times, I feel.

  23. Delighted with the result which never looked like being a 4-0 with twenty minutes remaining. Brendan certainly brings the best out of our squad. Petec 11.33

Disagree about Stuart Amstrong pal. I thought his influence was telling throughout the game. Not in an aggressive manner , just by intelligent movement & quickly keeping the ball moving, usually forward. Compared with his ponderous performances of last season he looks like another transformed by our Brendan.

Big Sutton is just so different from the normal pundits , his manner sometimes makes me cringe and laugh at the same time.

May I congratulate P67 & whoever is responsible for extermination of the pop up adds. My dinner break was stress free on my vpn connection today. Nice one.

It really only became a problem in the second half and became more so as the night wore on.

If it had been sunny in Dingwall during the day, then the drop in temperature, bearing in mind how far north it was, would create the condensation/dew on the surface, I think.

Why else would most of the slips occur in the latter stages?

  25. Brendan the brave.

That was a bold selection tonight.

Armstrong will be a star if given a run of games.

His running .game intelligence and off the ball movement is excellent.

Izzy played well and i also thought Henderson is showing growth as a player.
