Good Morning Bhoys from a wet Central Scotland last nights game was interesting for me it showed some of our youngsters are just not ready for a first team run the team were miles better when Brendan brought on the subs. However,it also showed every player tried to give it there all when they were on the park in fact Sparky tried a bit to hard and lost his composure he left the park like a wee Bhoy in an under 11s match sulking all the way cut it out Leigh we dont need it work hard and your chance will come. Our next match is a must win for Aberdeen should we win it for me there challenge will be over before November.H.H.

Perhaps Brendan doesn`t give Paddy too many starts because he doesn`t want Man. City to take him back.

Hiding his light under a bushel.

    Don`t ask. :-)

I dont believe Brendan is a big believer in loan players why improve another clubs player at the expense of one of your own ? unless you have an agreement to purchase the player at the end of the loan period which we dont have with Paddy.H.H.

  4. Hiding his light under a bushel?

    Doesent believe in loan players?

You could both be right, who knows, but there’s no doubt the kid has talent I like him, can be a wee bit greedy, but good players are like that in they’r development years, then they catch on, time will tell I suppose.

Ha, ha ha! I’ve said since early in the season that although he’s a great shot-stopper, but he has deficiencies. His distribution has improved remarkably over the past few games and his interceptions at cross balls has also got a bit better.

I happier with him than Doris, but I think we could have a more solid all-round keeper. Just an opinion, ;>)

Fair points made. I like Gordon despite his flaws. As you say his distribution has improved. Michel Vorm has been talked about.

Gordon was outstanding in his first season but some glaring errors (Inter Milan, Be’er Sheba) have still not been fully erased from my memory.

There’s always a niggling doubt in the big games I’m afraid!

  9. The Hat wanted to replace the Heid at Wigan. Well if the cap fits! Dear dear, when will the fun end? Great times!

  10. Have enjoyed all the comments about the Ross County game and like most of you I applaud Brendan’s substitutions. But let me add a word of praise for the heroic efforts of all those who were actually present at the game. Those of us who cannot get to the games away from home are grateful for your help in giving the Bhoys the support needed in these far off venues. Hope you all made it home safely in the early hours of the morning.

  11. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

So some player can turn up for one game in three and we should show our gratitude, while others are the cause of niggling doubts and need replaced, it’s a funny old game right enough.

Joey and Waggy to make up?

    Joey to go?

The Deid Bried Man to go to Wigan and Barton to stay. Suits all concerned.

Warbuton is a man who looks (and comes across) like he’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The orc hordes are revolting (see what I did there) and some are calling for his head on their forums. He doesn’t want to be there and they cannot afford to sack him. the RIFC Board may also see it as an option to get some compensation from Wigan as he is under contract. How useful would somewhere between £500K and £1M be right now? they would promote Weir till season end.

Joseph Anthony will need to be paid £2M to leave and that will kill them; even a dismissal with a tribunal would tie them up in litigation they cannot afford (and could see some of their dwindling funds being ring-fenced) and MAY bring their precarious financial position to the fore. He would come back like the cock-o-the walk and could in actual fact be a decent player for them. the team cannae be any worse with him in it!

    Interesting times!

Nir Bitton showed what he brings to the team; he solidifies the midfield and closes gaps. Much the same way he did away in Astana when we were struggling to contain them. It’s OK to support the escaped goat at times! :>)

Roberts scored the first; played in Armstrong for the 2nd; his deflected shot fell for Sinclair at the 3rd; he laid it on a plate for big Moussa at the 4th.

    1 goal and 3 assists!

Nir Bitton – I understand what he brings. But I’ve a wariness about how he shows against teams that are pacey or play right in his face. He craves and needs time, but sometimes can’t have it. Not written him off yet.

Roberts – He is a special talent. Build his confidence to go on the outside more often and he can go to the very very top!

I’m thinking along the lines of no matter what happens to him/them it’ll be business as usual,

    Special mention for Izzy.

He played as if he had never been out of the team. Solid and adventurous.

  18. Morning all

Only saw game just now as working late. Hard to make an assessment of a game where you know the score beforehand and had also seen goals but looked a better result than performance which was good at the start , rampant at the end but with not too much in between.

We seem to have two games a week right through to New Year and although I would doubt BR’ ll make 8 changes again this side of a league clincher he will make a lot of use of his squad. Stuart A, Paddy R and Liam H did themselves no harm last night but I was less convinced by Christian G, Ryan C and Callum G. Leigh Griffiths also looked below par and badly needs starts and goals. i cannot believe it is impossible to play him alongside Moussa D- possibly v ICT a week on Saturday with maybe Scott Sinclair to come on last half hour.

Sinclair has obviously been a huge success but he has seemed to coast a few games recently especially when he has scored early. Bring him on against a tiring team and he will run riot. Mr Rodgers may have thought of that if last night anything to go by

    Have a good day.
