SWEDISH REF A GOOD OMEN FOR SCOTT BROWN

0
CELTIC skipper Scott Brown can take it as a good omen that Swedish referee Martin Strombergsson will be the match official for tomorrow night’s Champions League qualifier against Qarabag.
It will be the first time the 38-year-old has been in charge of a European game involving a Scottish team.
However, he did handle Scotland’s 1-0 friendly victory in Norway in November 2013 – where Brown hit the winner.
Amazingly, it was the only shot on target for Gordon Strachan’s side during the 90 minutes while the host nation had 19 efforts at David Marshall!

Meanwhile tomorrow’s match in Azerbaijan is looking like being a sell-out with 0ver 27,000 tickets already sold and 3000 remaining.
