Not the words of a blogger-agitator, the words of out-going SCFL chairman, Ralph Topping, trying to incite fans to revolt against TV companies. In the same valedictory interview to The Scotsman, Topping acknowledged the mobilisation of fans against governance standards at the SPFL, but turned his face to the fans.
The man has been in office for 8 years but has been a virtual recluse as far as the paying public are concerned. Now we know why, he has no filter or self-awareness.
Not good enough, Mr Topping. You have failed to answer any of the pertinent questions (here) and despite the game being brought into significant disrepute during your tenure, you have now briefed the press that you intend to ignore Celtic’s request that matters are reviewed.
If you want to incite a revolt from football fans, you are on track. We’ll do what we can, I promise.

I think it’s time you answered some questions Paul. Like why haven’t Celtic taken on res 12 and why do fans need to lead a revolt when Celtic, by far Scotland’s leading club can and should show some leadership.

Gene. When the SPFL give the same response as the sfa the big question is whether Celtic will then break ranks and threaten both authorities with legal action etc. There are no more excuses, no keeping powder dry etc.
Then we will know.
My prediction is that Celtic will go silent again and we will get a load of squirrels from Paul to distract us.
My reason for that view? Res12, the constant attacks by Celtic on its own supporters, the 5 way agreement and the fact that Celtic are on all these committees etc which have been systematically screwing us all over in a rigged game.

If the SPFL are not willing to review the issues, then Celtic should release another statement specifying what questions need to be asked and why. If this fails then go above the Scottish authorities via the Courts or UEFA or by whatever means. And issue a of vote of no confidence in the SFA and SPFL Executives and Boards. If Celtic lead the fight we will be right behind them, it will be an unstoppable force.

Green man we already know the response. I am hoping the delay is because Celtic are threatening them (but I doubt it).
Their route is to say “top lawyers” said we can’t do anything and then go into hiding and hope we will all get bored. In a normal world this would be great because the inaction would mean many heads would topple. But we don’t live in a normal world. My personal opinion is that Celtic Plc want this to go away.
That’s based very simply on my reading of their refusal to act over the years.
I suspect that they have done their best to stonewall Res 12 and have good reason for that suspicion.
Now,I genuinely don’t think that Celtic Plc particularly wish to keep a hun mob alive,with 54 titles. They might be interested in having our toilets redecorated on a regular basis.
I dunno,not privy to those discussions.
My personal opinion is that Celtic Plc looked at the options involved when they went nipples north. They made a judgement call on that.
They got it wrong,but are on the horns of a dilemma because there are minutes to prove it.
As ever,it’s the cover-up which destroys you. Not the original error.

It would seem that the supporters are going to have to take this forward, boycotts will work if everyone and I include every supporter follows through and does not attend games, Celts for Change manage to convince enough to stay away and bring about the removal of the Kellys/Whytes however there was another view of some to Support the team Sack the board, I can only assume Celtic FC have been told /threatened by UEFA that if Celtic as a club take this forward through legal channels we will be suspended from European football, I did not agree with some of what Fergus McCann did, but he did say no one is above the law , football authorites here are attempting to prove the converse of this and are likely to have the support of UEFA in this. Football has been cheated, fans have been cheated, fraud continues to be peddled through the continuation myth and the liquidation deniers all to favour the reincarnation of a team playing out of Ibrox and the blue bigots pound.Fans must get justice, it is essential for the game to continue and this happening when we have a cracking team and a manager who could take us to places , not an easy decision for the support to have to make, but make it they will have to do.
The SFA and SPFL are adopting a won’t do anything because they cannot be forced to. Any legal action from Celtic or anyone else will be dismissent as ineligible.

Sadly,I am going with you on this.Still,I know,we have to wait on an official announcement from the SPFL.As I said yesterday,the SPFL Board have at least half the members sitting on it,that you would expect to be wanting a review.If the new guy at the top is the Tim we have all been informed,then who knows.I have no doubt Celtic have the power to lead in any decision.Will they?. again,who knows.In the meantime,I dont really see any point in foretelling the future,like some.I will just do what I said and wait.
