105 CHEERS: THE CELTIC HIT PARADE

0

DEADLY Daizen Maeda shot to the top of the Celtic hit parade with a superb double in the 6-0 romp against Dundee at Parkhead last night.

The prolific Japanese international raider claimed the Goal of the Game in an encounter crammed with spectacular strikes when he latched onto a superb pass from Arne Engels to lob the stranded Trevor Carson from the edge of the penalty box.

The ball flew straight and true into the Tayside club’s exposed and inviting net for the fourth time, just moments after Maeda had netted the third with a back-post header following a delightful left-wing cross from comeback Bhoy Filipe Jota.

The clever chipped piece of inspired improvisation by the pacy Maeda took his goal haul to 18.

ON ITS WAY…Daizen Maeda watches as his lob heads for its target.

IT’S IN THE NET…Maeda turns away as Dundee keeper Trevor Carson is left helpless at Celtic’s fourth goal.

Nicolas Kuhn, who came off the substitutes’ bench to curl in No.6, is just a goal adrift.

Not bad shooting for two players who are essentially wingers!

Adam Idah moved onto 12 strikes alongside Kyogo Furuhashi, who exited the club last week, while Engels, scorer of the champions’ 100th goal of the season against the Dens Parkers, is now on nine and well on his way to double figures.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have now hammered in 105 goals in all competitions in this crusade…and there’s more to come!
