CELTIC will have to pay a whopping £10MILLION if they hope to lure Kieron Bowie from Hellas Verona.
That’s £4million more than the Italian side paid to Hibs for the 23-year-old striker in the January transfer window.
Bowie has been impressive with his four goals in in his 14 appearances, but the two times-capped Scotland international couldn’t keep his new side in the Serie A as they were relegated at the end of a disappointing campaign.
Now Verona will be forced to sell their hottest property, but they have no intention of allowing him to go on the cheap.
They will demand top dollar for the hitman and that has not deterred Sassuolo with reports in media outlet Tuttomercato indicating talks have already taken place.

The club, who have another former Hibs star, left-back Josh Doig, in their squad finished eleventh in the top flight and are strengthening for the new season.

Celtic were linked with the frontman at the turn of the year before the Easter Road club accepted a record fee for their player, a deal that topped the £4.4million Gordon Strachan paid for Scott Brown in the summer of 2007.
The Hoops broke their all-time high for a striker two years ago when they paid £9.5million to Norwich City for Republic of Ireland attack-leader Adam Idah.
Unfortunately, despite scoring the Scottish Cup winner against Ibrox opposition during his loan period, it didn’t work out for the powerhouse forward who was sold to Swansea City for £6million last August.

Celtic’s record fee, of course, is the £11million paid for Arne Engels from Bundesliga outfit Augsburg two years ago, but it looks as though the champions are about to receive more than DOUBLE that with Nottingham Forest eyeing the Belgian midfielder.
The asking price for Bowie will not frighten off Scotland’s double winners.
The Kirkcaldy-born marksman has had a meteoric rise to the top after his initial breakthrough at Raith Rovers in 2019.
Bowie then moved to Fulham before agreeing a loan switch to Northampton Town.
Hibs signed him for £600,000 in 2024 and he scored 15 goals in 52 appearances for the Edinburgh club.
He made his Scotland debut in 2025, but was overlooked by Steve Clarke for the nation’s ill-fated World Cup squad.
