CELTIC have agreed a record £11million-plus fee to lure striker Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt.
The Hoops were originally interested in the Danish international forward in the January transfer window when figures of £7million to £8million were being bandied around.
However, any possible transfer was put on the back-burner with the Norwegian club progressing to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Parkhead powerbrokers returned to open negotiations with Bodo, but were warned of a fee increase that could prove to be “more than Celtic are willing to pay,” as CQN reported during the week.

However, the valuation has now been met and Hogh is poised to undergo a medical before agreeing a long-term contract, as stated in the Scottish Sun.
The fee will eclipse the previous record of £11million the champions paid for Belgian playmaker Arne Engels from Bundesliga club Augsburg in August 2024.
Twenty-five-year-old Hogh scored crucial goals against Manchester City, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon in Europe’s elite competition as his value soared.
The Hoops face the first leg of their Champions League qualifier on August 18/19 and, if all goes according to plan, Hogh will be in the line-up.
