20p per share may be last exit chance on Rangers Mark II

There was never any doubt that Honest Dave King would be ordered to make an £11m offer to minority shareholders in Newco Rangers after an enforcement today by the Takeover Appeals Board.

King’s counsel claimed he was “penniless” and unable to make good on the offer, which is a legal requirement on any individual or individuals acting in concert, acquire 30% of a company. I initially considered it was unlikely that many shareholders would accept the 20p price, but the Sinking Ship Scenario is in play. This may be shareholders last chance to recover any investment in Rangers Mark II.

Of course, none of this would have happened if they stuck with the Easdales and Mike Ashley, or Charles Green and Mike Ashley, of anyone else who was able to employ a Nomad or attract tens of millions of pounds investment.  But glib and shameless Geppetto wanted control and he pulled all the right strings.

    A mighty fine movie (IMO ) . One of the better films re the Sicilian Mafia.. A fairly straight ahead account of an actual event . Really good on the sheer banality of the evil perpetrated by the ” The Men of Honour ” .

     

     

    Methinks — a wee bit too depressing for the Festive Season !!!

    Good evening, friends.

     

    For those of you that are still following the longest running Last Man Standing competition in history we have reached Week 13 with 3 men still standing. This weekend there are 2 games that matter in the context of the competition, HIBS v Ross County and MOTHERWELL v Dundee.

     

    Paddy McCourt CSC has gone with Hibs whilst both stpatricksbhoy and LiamInToronto are relying on Motherwell.

     

    If we don’t have a winner after tomorrow’s games then we will have a midweek card for Round 14. After that, The Committee are then going to have to come up with a way of making sure there’s a winner for the final weekend fixtures of 2017!

     

    Good luck to the 3 remaining stauners.

    If so I’m all for it! Of course with updated acceptable lyrics, we could replace “King Billy” with Kim Jong Un and “John Knox” with Donald Trump or some other really bad guy like Nigel Farage!

    Genuinely concerned here ghuys ….my nephew has a season ticket ( Adult Season ticket) but cant go to the game tomorrow and he has given it to me to use tomorrow . I have been reading some of the stories about this carry on , on here . Also heard from a friend that her nephew got stopped when he got into Celtic Park using his dads season ticket during the week and the ticket was confiscated . The dad is now in a panic because the sevco game is looming and he is desperate to be there. I dont want him to miss out on the sevco game next week by knackering things up for him. Are they stopping people randomly going through the turnstyles ?

    Having played a part in ensuring no parachute into the SPL I think Celtic left a solution up to the SPL and SFA.

     

     

    If (and it’s a big if), if Green was the only show in town and would have walked away if the transfer of the SFA Membership was not allowed and Sevco been forced to take the same route any new club would, then I cannot see Celtic digging in their heels if all other clubs were ok with the transfer of membership.

     

     

    Problem of course is we don’t know who agreed what with whom and we will all project our own beliefs on to the blank canvas.

    Who gives a flying feck about Sevco? What will be will be. Too much timternet space given to the coverage of a new entity masquerading as tax dodging deceased entity. Seriously I am more concerned with our sorting out our defensive fragilities and beating our nearest rivals – The Dons.

    Since 2013 the SFA and SPL/SPFL , supported by large sections of the media, who depend on the game for a living, closed ranks.

     

     

    It is a miracle the issue is still a live one.

     

     

    They closed ranks because the are interdependent, which means you cannot harm one without doing some damage to all.

     

     

    Everything that has happened since Oct 2011, when McKenzie was first appraised of the situation is governed by that factor.

     

     

    It has been an exercise in damage limitation that depends on closed ranks and reality not asserting itself as it will over time. That is what makes reality real – it lasts.
