ROOKIE referee Bartosz Frankowski will take charge of Celtic’s game against Lincoln Red Imps at Parkhead tonight – his first-ever Champions League tie.
The inexperienced Polish match official is only 29 – two years younger than Hoops skipper Scott Brown!
Frankowski, who has been refereeing in his homeland since 2010, has presided over only four Europa League qualifying matches previously, including Cork City’s draw with Linfield earlier this month.
Despite his lack of experience, the referee has been charged with keeping order on a crucial night for Brendan Rodgers and Co as the five-in-a-row champions aim to turn around the Gibraltar side’s 1-0 first leg advantage.
