BOSUN LAWAL sent a heartfelt message to Celtic fans after sealing his £2million move to Stoke City.
The versatile Republic of Ireland Under-21 international took to social media to say: “Special special club will be missed. Thanks to everyone involved for making my time at Celtic FC enjoyable.”
Lawal was part of Brenda Rodgers’ squad for the three-game tour of the States and figured in some of the action.

However, the centre-back or midfield anchorman has not featured in either of the 20-man matchday squads for the opening Premiership games of the new season against Kilmarnock (4-0) and Hibs (2-0).
Championship side Stoke, who signed Sead Haksabanovic on loan from the Hoops last summer, kept their eye on the progress of the 21-year-old Dubliner and made their move last week.
Negotiations have now been completed and the youngster returns to English football after his successful temporary spell at Fleetwood Town last season.
Playing in a new midfield enforcer role in the second part of the campaign, Lawal scored six goals in 47 appearances, but couldn’t prevent Scott Brown’s former club from slipping into the fourth tier.
All at CQN – and Celtic supporters everywhere – wish Lawal a successful career at Stoke City.
