ISMAILI SORO, Celtic’s £2million purchase last month, donned the hoops for the first time yesterday in a 4-0 win over Aberdeen at Lennoxtown yesterday.

The 21-year-old Ivorian midfield anchorman has had to be patient since arriving from Israeli outfit Bnei Yehuda and has been eased into life at the champions by boss Neil Lennon.

Soro was involved only for the first-half before being replaced by Barry Coffey in the closed-doors friendly against the Pittodrie outfit.

Lennon would also have received good reports on Marian Shved and Karamoko Dembele, who both scored, and Aussie winger Daniel Arzani who is coming to the end of his loan deal from Manchester City.

Impressive youngster Cameron Harper and substitute Armstrong Oko-Flex were the other marksmen in a comfortable win.

The only disappointing feature fror reserve team gaffer Tommy McIntyre and Lennon was the ordering-off of Soro’s replacement Coffey seven minutes from the end.

The Irishman was given a straight red card following his reaction to a bad tackle from an opponent.

TEAM: Hughes; Savoury, Church, Hjelde, Welsh; Soro (sub:Coffey 46), Henderson; Shved (sub:Oko-Flex 67), Harper, Dembele and Arzani (sub:Burt 67).
