Celtic have five games still to play this month against teams they have recorded two draws, three defeats and no wins against this season. Hearts and Rangers conformably recorded home wins against Celtic while St Johnstone won at Celtic Park. Udinese were fortunate to escape Glasgow with a point thanks to a late penalty, while Kilmarnock demonstrated their unpredictability by taking, then losing, a three goal lead.
There was a bit of optimistic chat over the weekend that three of our next four league games are at home but these are the teams we need to beat to win the league. If Celtic come through this month unscathed in domestic football they will win the league, but despite current good form, this will be a huge challenge, starting against Hearts at 15:00 on Saturday.

Wee Sammy was an old St Pat’s boy as well.
I spent some great drunken nights singing with him. He latterly got bookings in the pubs around Yoker.
His nap selection was,..’Yellow bird, High up in banana tree.’
Great wee guy.

Naw, Sammy was a well know character back in the day, never knew him myself, but a good friend from the Dumbarton part of the world knew him and some of the stories had me wetting masel.
And anyways, as I have said on the blog before, I have more coloured friends that I do “white” friends, so you won’t get any racisism here, and I have no problem calling my black friends niggers. darkies, whatever, they understand that I mean nothing derogitory by it, just the way it is, and just the way it should be, they call me names I couldn’t print on here, and we are all happy with it.
I do not live in a false, politically correct gone mad world.
I am happy to argue the toss with anyone about it btw.

LFC need 2 full-backs and a DM, and am no fan of Skrtel but Coates is good (cept he made a mistake few weeks back has kind of hindered his appearances so far)
was also thinkin, they should’ve kept the 50mill and put it towards a 100,000 stadium
that would upset have MUFC

Think my dad, who passed away this year, knew Sammi Kilpatrick reasonably well. Anybody remember Teenie Black and big Jimsie? And their son Robert?

sorry was over on the tax blog but here now much to my disgust!!!

TET,
Call it the new song debate, your pals might no mind it, but there are plenty of other people who have been abused by the same language, they dont make the same connections you and your pals do.
In fact many dont take too kindly to folks who use that kind of language round these here parts.

great being a celtic man, a few things have happened to me like that, but in order to keep it going my granda always told me to keep it going, let them be proud to associate with us……so one day me and my pal were in Dublin, we had had a few drinks and then went to a wee italian, were merry, two old dolls were at the table next to us and we began chatting, they were well in their 70′s and auld funny Dublin wummin, anyway we had a great laugh and I went to pay the bill, was a wee bit mare merry so a decided to buy their dinner and just sneak out, we said our goodbye’s and headed off. The next night we meet the waiter who took ma money and a sizable wee tip, said that was a great gesture the wee wummin were delighted and were in about once a month and very nice, told him what my granda had told me, anyway we had a few with him and he headed off to work, went to the bar to buy another and the manager came over, all drink was free for us for the rest of the night as the bhoy from the restaurant was his brother and he told him what I had done…. downhill from there and we were very merry on the way home…ma granda was a wise man… am sure he said “there are many like us and if we can keep this spirit up we might no take over the world, but we’ll be loved all over the world” very true.

We do,and I will keep you guessing, your Dad, God rest his soul, was some barman.
That he was. In my younger days it was my task to ferry his tea across the High Street from no.4 into the Elephant and Castle and my pleasure to empty the bottles on a Sunday morning which the likes of you perhaps and Brogan etc may well have found themselves drinking during the week.
Right I’ll honour your anonymity but from here on in I’ll be asking for clues:>)

I understand many feel that way, and they have every right to, but there is no getting away from the fact I am white and others have the colour of skin that they have, none at all.
I have never, ever called anyone by a derogitory remark due to the colour of their skin, ever, and I never would, maybe the friends I have are a little less sensitive than others.
When did it change, Sammy the Darkie was Sammy the Darkie due to the colour of his skin, nothing racist about it, when someone calls another out for their skin colour, then I agree I have a problem with that, where does it end, Irish jokes about thick Paddy, jokes about drunken sweaty socks, you know that I am not racist, don’t have much time for the hun mind you :>))
I suppose it changed about the time that the referees in scotland stopped being bias against Celtic…..

From much earlier, I agree the depiction of NL, is a snapshot of ‘the big picture’ and the BBC ‘establishment’ are all part of the process we are going through.
We are still, all Neil Lennon.

Can’t argue about your Morton game.
I do know that the first time I ever saw a Celtic player in ‘gutties’ was on a frozen hard Celtic Patk in January ’65.
The game was in doubt due to the frost & had been covered in straw for two nights.
Yogi evoked a lot of ribald remarks when he appeared in his sannies.
No such comments were made when he played like Patsy Gallacher for 90 minutes & scored FIVE terrific goals.
Murdoch, Lennox & Wee Bertie made it EIGHT.
Never to be forgotten performance.
Good luck.

Ok Davie Wilson ( Once of Dumbarton fame ) and his brother whose name I can’t remember. Davie played for the gers too and I seem to remeber he had a brother somewhere. It has to be from that era I think.
