Celtic have five games still to play this month against teams they have recorded two draws, three defeats and no wins against this season. Hearts and Rangers conformably recorded home wins against Celtic while St Johnstone won at Celtic Park. Udinese were fortunate to escape Glasgow with a point thanks to a late penalty, while Kilmarnock demonstrated their unpredictability by taking, then losing, a three goal lead.
There was a bit of optimistic chat over the weekend that three of our next four league games are at home but these are the teams we need to beat to win the league. If Celtic come through this month unscathed in domestic football they will win the league, but despite current good form, this will be a huge challenge, starting against Hearts at 15:00 on Saturday.

Great result yesterday – didn’t get to see the game but the old boy was there and said we were great in the 1st half, pretty average in the 2nd but never looked in any danger. 1-0 til the end of the season would do me. Watched the highlights and they seemed to back up Tombola Snr’s assessment so he couldn’t have had too many haufs.
Anyhoo, also watched the highlights of the Govanites – Aluko’s dive was clear for all to see but did anyone see Whittaker (I think) wrestle a Dunfermline player to the ground in the box (full on head lock!) when they had that late free-header? It’s the last thing you see on the BBC highlights on the website – have a look and behold the utter hunnery with Conroy only a few yards away. Shocking!

At no point in the last 3 years was I ever convinced that we would win the title. I had hopes, aspirations and even dreams but I never actually thought that we would win it.
This year is different. I repeat…
This year is different…
This year is different :))

No I didn’t see it but not surprised by what you say.
You really have to wonder what the problem is for the officials in not making these calls.
Isn’t that what they’re there for?
Having seen the contrast in decisions though in the Newcastle Chelsea and Spurs Bolton matches it just adds to the puzzlement that is the referee’s mind.
Victor’s middle name is ‘Mugabe’.

Nice of you to offer but I’ll make do with a bottle of Celtic champagne and Celtic whisky purchased especially for the no Huns in Glasgow party, or should that be Glasgows Green and White party :>)

Big 67 is outstanding by the way.
Sack the board for buying projects (Matthews, 67) in the summer.
Neil and co can spot a player – we have some fine young talent.

I see your point re. The risk. His behaviour is improving and contribution v thems has been decent enough.
Still feel lenny will have him in his plans at some stage.
Personally I would prefer if we could make 4 mid from yesterday work with joe ledley in a 5. Stokesy up top with ghoops and broony featuring as game progresses.

From time to time I come across business contacts with names that render the odd snigger. I recall one chance meeting with the MD of Appleby’s at the Spring Fair in Birmingham, the redoubtable Roger Buoys. Fair had a spring in his step.
Anyways, the question today is simply:Is this the UK’s Most Unfortunately Named Individual?
Betya his Faither didn’t come from Glasgow.
Hamiltontim,
Considering by the little margin that we lost those titles I admire your optimism but I still stand by what I said.

ASonOfDan – Hearts’ first team playing squad have received £1,000 each from the club, as their wait for their November salaries continues.
Who are the current shirt sponsors for Hearts?
You’d need a heart of stone not to laugh. (thumbsup)

Big Glen’s cramp – must be up there with with Kris’s injury.

Not been on in a while and don’t have much time but wanted to comment on Big Victor – really impressive.
I thought N’Guemo could have been a player but there were also a lot of flaws, same with Crosas (where is he now?) and big Evander Sno, but Victor is a footballer. Rarely wastes possession or comes out second best in the tackle. add to that an ability to compete in the air – a really good find.
Back to work…………..
Can i just say it was great that we turned out again wearing the famous hoops yet again. May that continue wherever and whenever possible. So much better than the yellow bumble bee kit.

Sobering stuff, Paul67. I hope we make it a clean sweep but I would be more than happy if we win the SPL matches and don’t get hammered in Udinese.
Any word about action on the diver?

He has skill, strength, and tenacity.
You can’t ask for much more.
It’s hard to believe he’s only 20. (thumbsup)
Forrest would be a revelation in the Messi-role, allowing Brown to play out wide.

Ole Victor knows his history,
He chose 67 as his squad number to honour Celtic’s 1967 European Cup winning team.
Early 90’s ?? scotland were in the final of the under 16’s world cup, played at hampden against Saudi I think, nearly all the Saudi team had beards.
