£5m FOR CELTIC FLOP

IPSWICH boss Mick McCarthy is demanding a whopping £5million for Celtic flop Daryl Murphy.
The Republic of Ireland striker, who was signed by Neil Lennon from Sunderland for £1million in 2010, scored only three goals in 19 appearances for the Hoops.
Murphy was released in June 2013 and was snapped up by McCarthy for the Portman Road outfit after two successful years on loan.
The 32-year-old frontman netted 27 Championship goals last season and has seen his value soar.
Sheffield Wednesday offered £4.25million this week, but were told to up their bid for the player who is out of contract next summer.
Middlesbrough were also out luck after making a £4million move, but former Celtic defender McCarthy is adamant Murphy is worth more.
Ipswich held out for £8million when Tyrone Mings moved to newly-promoted Bournemouth last month.
