FILIPE JOTA has agreed a £6.5million five-year deal with Celtic.

The 23-year-old Benfica winger brought an end to the long-running saga when he sealed the permanent switch at Parkhead last night.

Jota committed his future to the champions after an impressive loan season from the Portuguese giants, as Sky Sports News reported.

The player arrived back from his holiday travels that took in Ibiza, New York and Mexico City to put pen to paper.

FLYING THE FLAG…Filipe Jota celebrates at the end of Celtic’s 6-0 win over Motherwell on May 14.

The fans’ favourite claimed 13 goals in all competitions as well as numerous assists as Ange Postecoglou’s side swept the opposition aside to win their tenth title in 11 years.

The Lisbon club have retained 30 per cent of any future transfer fee should the Hoops decide to sell the wide Bhoy, as CQN reported TWO months ago.

Jota becomes Postecoglou’s fourth signing of the summer, following Cameron Carter-Vickers’ £6million switch from Spurs, Swiss keeper Benji Siegrist on a free from Dundee United and Argentinian left-back Alexandro Bernabei from top-flight Lanus.
