CQN asked supporters to show our appreciation on the 69th minute last night and were helped in getting this message out by the guys over at Celts Are Here.
It helped that KT had scored the second goal of the game in the 67th minute which actually meant that the Lights on for Lisbon show wasn’t as effective as it usually is as the goal was being celebrated.
Then on the second the time on the screen changed to 69 minutes the entire stadium stood up to applaud the 69’ers. It was a wonderful moment. A friend was listening to the game on the radio and said that it came across brilliantly.
Here’s a wee video from a supporter to let you see for yourselves. “69 minutes so proud,’ the supporter noted before posting this:

Not everyone was celebrating the end of the run, for one or two supporters it is still continuing! It is, you see the SAME RUN! Biting satire here from the wonderful Cartuja over on Twitter. It will probably go over their heads…

A wee point worth making on the 69th minute tribute last night, it does show the communication power in the online Celtic community, something the club should note when they pander to the red tops, out of, we are told, necessity.
