CELTIC target Isak Jansson is heading to OGC Nice in a whopping £8.6million move.
The Swedish winger’s club Rapid Vienna have reached a financial agreement with the French club and the 23-year-old forward is poised to sign a lucrative five-year deal, according to sports media outlet Foot Mercato.
The Austrian side are set to receive £8.6million PLUS bonuses for a player who joined the club last year from FC Cartagena, first on loan in the winter transfer window, before the move was made permanent in the summer for a mere £250,000.
However, Jansson’s value sky-rocketed with his impressive form in 33 appearances across all competitions for Rapid, scoring nine and assisting six.
Apparently, the Hoops saw him as an ideal replacement for Nicolas Kuhn, who is set to join Serie A outfit Como in a £17.2million switch.
However, Nice appear to have won the race for a player with the media source reporting that a medical has been scheduled.
