ODSONNE EDOUARD, the most expensive Celtic player in history, is up for grabs at Crystal Palace.
The French striker was signed for the record sum of £9million by Brendan Rodgers from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 following an impressive season-long loan stint.
Edouard quit the Hoops in August 2021 after only a handful of appearances for Ange Postecoglou as the Parkhead club accepted a bid of around £18.5million from the London outfit.
TITLE WINNNER…Odsonne Edoaurd is about to be congratulated by Dedryck Boyata after scoring in the 5-0 romp over Ibrox opposition as the Hoops claim the Premiership silverware in April 2018.
The 26-year-old hitman has been on the first-team fringes in recent weeks since the appointment of Oliver Glasner as the successor to veteran gaffer Roy Hodgson. He has claimed seven goals from 27 outings and, according to teamTALK, will now be placed on the transfer list.
Overall, Edouard, who claimed a double against Spurs on his debut, netted 18 Premier League goals in 91 games.
He attracted the attention of fellow-Frenchman Patrick Vieira, then the Selhurst Park head coach, with his 86 goals for the Hoops.
Edouard still has two years to run on his Palace contract, but it looks as though he will be performing elsewhere next season.
It is highly unlikely that destination will be Parkhead.
