A quick £13m profit for Green and pals

885

Charles Green and his initial backers have achieved a remarkable result with what is already evident in their prospectus.  Page 66 notes: “In the period to 31 August 2012, a total of 25,340,000 shares were issued for a total consideration of £7,719,000”, issued at approximately 30.4p per share.  At a price of 70p per share these shares would be worth £17.738m, a cool £10m profit.

Since that August date Green has enjoyed something of a windfall.  Page 83 notes, “The contractual right to an option over 10 per cent. of the enlarged ordinary share capital of RFCL was exercised by Charles Green on 31 October 2012 by a partial exercise notice pursuant to which 5,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in RFCL were issued to Charles Green on 31 October 2012.”

That’s 5m shares, worth 70p each, which is a stunning £3.5m to add to the above £10m!

Have you heard how great the CQN Annual is? You can order online here, not many posting days left before Christmas!

Next month a raft of new bodies will have notifiable shareholdings, specifically: Hargreave Hale, Artemis Investment Management, Cazenove Capital Management, Legal & General Investment and Insight Investment Management, all of whom will seek returns for their money.

2012 was the year Rangers were liquidated.  It was also the year the assets were snatched from the grasp of an array of Rangers fans by people who saw an opportunity.

2013 will bring an SPL Commission and Upper Tier Tribunal issues for oldco but the consequences of these share issues will determine the performance of newco for decades to come.  I think you and me should keep quiet about this.  Let Charlie carry on and do what he needs to do over the coming weeks.

ur a an RIRA apoligist. you brought that sht up…now swallow it ya moron

  2. TPOG – correct mate. A price worth paying? The plc view is fairly predictable on this, but I think a time is fast approaching when we need to reinvent how we follow football. We could and should be leading this.

In two generations, I can see busses leaving every weekend From Glasgow to follow EPL teams.

My 14 year old nephew – lanarkshire born and bred – went to his first game last year. At the ethiad stadium in Manchester. He’s now a City fan. Scarily, it was a school trip. The monster will start swallowing us soon if we don’t start to change our approach.

GM. Agree on the streaming issue, not sure how to stop it though!

  3. ” Like Arsenal did last night.”

    Lol. Good point.

I’d go for a similar team that drew in the first tie with maybe wanyama and ghoops back in.

Depending on fitness and injuries of course

I never brought it up, you did, read back.

So you want to silence Chuck, the British Government, Stokes and me, and god alone knows who else, but you want your voice to be heard above all else.

    And I am a moron?

    You make me laugh!

I know where you are coming from but the manager himself has said it was not appropriate. It has embarrassed the club because it is a controversy blown up by the media. Don’t give them an inch or they’ll take a light-year.

I defend Anthony Stokes’ right to go to any funeral or fundraiser he wants especially if he was a friend but he should know as a Celtic player this would be manna from heaven to our media and the rabid audience they write for.

Sometimes it is smarter not to get photos taken or to go incognito.

I don’t know the boy’s personal circumstances or his relationship with the guy but it is a question of being smarter at times.

Bottom line is I agree with you, football in general is too expensive in this country, in the main due to to poor TV revenues the clubs generate. The BBC apparently pay Alan Hanson more that they pay for the SPL for TV/radio/internet rights!

We have a window of a couple of years where we may be able to do as you suggest, and lead they way on this.

Do we have the board to think in this imaginative way, and grasp the nettle? Of that I’m not so sure.

not exactly but if thats how you to play your little fantasy out then i wont stand in your way.

maybe a quick readback of everything you posted on here in the past 20 mins might waken you up from your depression?

  8. Stringer Bell, @10:28, I was listening to a radio phone-in where some Tory MP was squawking about getting tough with tax dodgers when a caller suggested he should start with where his lot first learn about tax dodging, the registered charity, Eton.

He asked said MP which registered charity he was educated at. He must have used the word registered charity about ten times in his call and it had the desired effect as you could feel the Tory MP on the verge of losing it. I can’t remember the MP.

So the fans in the stands can say what they want, they can wave whatever flag they want, they can hold whatever political views that they want; but the players on the field can’t.

I wonder how the players agents sell them that one. There will be one rule for you and alternative ones for everybody else. If you choose to break that agreement you must dress as Casper the Ghost!

    I don’t think so.

    Yes ! .

The tuneless and clueless one is a paranoid , frightened and hate filled wretch who uses this site to peddle and troll his views from the rubber room .

  11. Point of order.

“So the fans in the stands can say what they want, they can wave whatever flag they want, they can hold whatever political views that they want; but the players on the field can’t.”

That’s only true up to a point. Certain political views expressed within the stadium, or among the away support would see the proponents ejected or banned if they were considered bad for the image of the club.

  12. Kitalba,

We are getting more like the Sevco mob, soon the players will be told not to bless themselves,oh remember the Holy Goalie.

  13. Snake

I agree about the media, but they are directing it at the brain dead morons anyways, who hate us whatever we do or don’t do.

If it’s no Anto Stokes, it will be someone or something else.

And Charlie Green can go to Belfast lord it up with convicted loyalist murderers and he is lauded for it, that’s the mentality we are up against.

It’s all about the hate they have for us.

  14. ” We are getting more like the Sevco mob, soon the players will be told not to bless themselves”

I’m glad somebody remembers that, I never saw any media censor on Chuck, neither did I see much ridicule on here either.

  17. ” Stokes did nothing in the stadium and what he did do he did in his own time.”

    Matters not a jot.

  18. Not taking sides and this is just my own opinion. Anyone has the right to attend the funeral or otherwise of whom they so wish, no matter what they work at. I grew up in Maryhill and have attended funerals of several friends that I new for over 45 years ( wish they were still here). Now some people may have said they were bad people and done a lot of wrong, some people would look back at the person they knew and who never done them any wrong in their lifetime. We all walk different paths and have different beliefs and I believe that it is in your own mind how you perceive things.

The only problem I have with the Anthony Stokes issue is that the MSM in this country will jump on him and use it against Celtic, but the same MSM will turn a blind eye to Goram, Healy etc.

I think that NFL should have kept his own council regarding AS and when asked what he thought should have replied that AS is still injured and would not be considered for the Arbroath game or the St Mirren game. Next question.

Like I said this is just my own personal thoughts on the matter and in my opinion only shows the length that the MSM in this country will go to try and blacken the good name of Celtic.

why do you always have to make a comparison?

if a rangers player went out & murdered a catholic 2moro does that men a celtic [layer has to go out n murder a protestant on friday?

  20. How many plastic Pontius Pilate’s can one site have. So you demand your rights for yourself but you will not extend the same to others.

  21. kitalba – 11:42 on 12 December, 2012

I’m not really commenting on the actual incident but your suggestion that the club are happy for the fans to hold and express whatever views they like but not the players. That’s blatantly not the case.

I could quite happily argue both sides of the coin on this one.

  22. Kit

I have the pic somewhere, just don’t know where.

You are right, very little was said about it.

Same goes for the coin throwing at Ipox at the weekend, not a peep from the media, had that happened at Celtic Park, they would be in meltdown.

  23. Stokes was stupid/innocent/brave – take your pick.

Goram was stupid/innocent/brave – take your pick.

All depends on your viewpoint. But I reckon it’s difficult to come up with one answer for Stokes and another for Goram.

They are beginning to click —- 4 great players —–Ibra / Menez / Lavezzi and Verratti plus 1 genius – Pastore . He is beginning to justify the Gianni Rivera comparisons . Rivera was the best player I have ever seen ..

My auld man is house bound, he’s spent his life (82) following Celtic home and away this may be his last season ticket.

All access is paid for except when the games are not available through legitimate sources, I know for a fact there are many many more in his position, as far as you are concerned their usefulness has passed, thanks for the money and the support though luck and good bye, it’s the Celtic way don’t you know eh.

This reminds me of the dogs abuse Boab (FTP) Malcolm got from das hun websites for his wee scribblings……oh, wait.

  27. TET and Kitalba

That is my point. We know what they’ll do and more to the point so should Anthony Stokes.

My point is don’t give them the chance. It is disgraceful that Anthony Stokes is held to that standard and the Yorkshire pudding is not but we know the climate and the media in Scotland and so should Stokes.

The thing is to be smarter than them. It is horrible that the double standard exists in Scotland but we cannot change it sadly.

if celtic fc hadn’t given the said statement out you can bet your bottom dollar that the headlines would be “celtic fc support terrorism”

this was a fund raiser & not a funeral. whether or not that fund raiser was for funeral costs as was said to be remains open to scepticism.
