A quick £13m profit for Green and pals

885

Charles Green and his initial backers have achieved a remarkable result with what is already evident in their prospectus.  Page 66 notes: “In the period to 31 August 2012, a total of 25,340,000 shares were issued for a total consideration of £7,719,000”, issued at approximately 30.4p per share.  At a price of 70p per share these shares would be worth £17.738m, a cool £10m profit.

Since that August date Green has enjoyed something of a windfall.  Page 83 notes, “The contractual right to an option over 10 per cent. of the enlarged ordinary share capital of RFCL was exercised by Charles Green on 31 October 2012 by a partial exercise notice pursuant to which 5,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in RFCL were issued to Charles Green on 31 October 2012.”

That’s 5m shares, worth 70p each, which is a stunning £3.5m to add to the above £10m!

Have you heard how great the CQN Annual is? You can order online here, not many posting days left before Christmas!

Next month a raft of new bodies will have notifiable shareholdings, specifically: Hargreave Hale, Artemis Investment Management, Cazenove Capital Management, Legal & General Investment and Insight Investment Management, all of whom will seek returns for their money.

2012 was the year Rangers were liquidated.  It was also the year the assets were snatched from the grasp of an array of Rangers fans by people who saw an opportunity.

2013 will bring an SPL Commission and Upper Tier Tribunal issues for oldco but the consequences of these share issues will determine the performance of newco for decades to come.  I think you and me should keep quiet about this.  Let Charlie carry on and do what he needs to do over the coming weeks.

Sorry mate but try as I might do I just can’t see it. Heading out in 5 but I’ll check back when I come in later. If it is listed as you say can you tell me where it is on the list (i.e. between which other 2 listed games?). I don’t mean to sound that I don’t believe you; I’m just questioning my own lack of ability in finding it!

HT, your right about the mixture of sectarianism and fascism, mix that with a feeling of alienation and you have a powderkeg. I hope the politicians who were shouting for protests start to get responsible and realise the situation is way out of hand. They need to negotiate politically now, not bully.

doc, those politicians have been out tonight calling the protesters (mob) a disgrace to the amusement of atilla’s anarchist’s.

mob calling DUP & UUP sellout’s due to their (apparent) silence on the issue.

one thing is clear; there is an awful lot of paranoia & distrust within the loyalist community. these people are dangerous.

Yogi switched from boots and we scored 5 including a Steve Chalmers hat trick although Charlie Gallachers was a thing of beauty. Yogi ran the show.

*Bobby Murdoch’s wisnae too shabby either, I believe that’s the one that big Tiny dummied.

My recollection of that game was that it was the first that I had seen Celtic for a while as I was (trying) tae play fitba on a Saturday.

The night before the game I went to seven o’clock Mass in St Kessogs, at the end I left through the side door and on passing the candle display stuck half a crown in and lit 5 candles, that was a lot of money then for a wee apprentice, a pint of Mick Jagger was two and fourpence with another penny added on in a Sunday.

I called that game the tanner a goal game.

Prior to the match me and my pal went tae the Sarrie Heid, first and only time, bought a couple of lemon tops and glasses of white lightning plus a round for a wee destitute punter stnding beside us and a carry oot for the game and got change out of ten bob.

At the game although 1 down we were the only ones singing as we were very good and the crowd in the Celtic end were unperturbed about the score, we would turn it on in the second half and by God we did.

BTW I reckon Yogi really came of good when Jock turned him intae a left winger, NFL has done the same for Sammi, oh aye and the sannies Yogi wore that day were actually big Billy’s..

From our perspective it was also one of the most professional , and a great example of using the rules to our advantage.

Amongst the other things that have impressed me this season, is the way we have recognised that to win at this level we need to work the rules to our advantage.

One of the biggest successes is the way we have won free kicks inside the opposition half.

20 / 25 yards out from goal a referee will think twice about awarding a free kick, but , if it is just over the half way line they give it a lot quicker, which plays in to our relative strength at set pieces.
