This seems to be a week for leaks. I hear one club recently refunded two investors to the tune of £500k each. Don’t worry, it wasn’t Celtic, and I hear the club involved are one of the most financially secure in Britain. I also hear the national broadcaster rejected a former presenter’s request to return to the fold.
Still nothing from the SFA, who were responsible for issuing associate membership to Newco Rangers, on the leak from the club’s board meeting that the Association expressed alarm that earlier information had leaked from chairman, Malcolm Murray. Mr Murray recently instigated an investigation into the relationship between Craig Whyte and Charles Green, the nature of which could invalidate Newco’s associate membership.
Far from being alarmed at leaks, the SFA should be keen to see full disclosure. Reports suggesting otherwise are alarming. I am sure the SFA president has already demanded openness and clarity……. Relax, standards of corporate governance at the SFA are as high as ever.
I am also sure the leak from Newco was not a shot across the SFA’s bows, providing a glimpse into what looks like some murky conversations which people at the Association could have much to lose from being exposed.

TB lived where I grew up (the first part of my username) I am 25 years old. In my younger days, hanging about with mates and generally getting up to no good, it would be easy for Tommy to walk past like so many would. Not Tommy though. He would stop, talk, take photo’s. A gentleman, a hero, a legend.

My favorite memory is the screamer of a left foot volley he scored against PTFC in a cup tie at Firhill in the late 80s . Fabulous goal / fabulous celebration..
Safety concerns meant that the attendance was restricted . PTFC compensated for that by upping the ticket prices.

Many individuals place the acquisition of wealth over pride and self respect. Indeed many would willing sell their souls to the devil if it brought them financial gain. My opinion is that J Daly absolutely fits that description, he is a prime example of a soup taking West Brit. Let’s have no talk of ‘other altruistic / rightious political motivations’ leading to him choosing to join an football club that openly flaunts it association with and plays the Orange card at every opportunity.
I guess the question we should really ask – is Daly an imbecile?
On the plus side Sevco are signing a mediocre player at best and one that will be a major drain on their meager resources.

It varies . Some Managers resist pressure from the owner . Some don’t . A big feature of Serie A football is the constant sniping between the owner and the Manager .The owner usually wins .
Remember watching a wee news clip re Udinese last summer . The clip featured the Udinese players queuing up to read a notice containing information re who was going on loan to Watford or Granada.
