Blogging on the move right now but want to pass comment on one part of the statement by Aberdeen chairman, Stewart Milne. As he confirmed his club would place the fifth and decisive vote against Sevco being allowed access to the SPL next season he said:
“Reorganisation of the game is a priority and is something we have been actively involved in for a long time, but it is not something that should be rushed through just to deal specifically with one club.
“As we have indicated there are a number of other areas that we feel need to be addressed openly in the coming period if Scottish football fans are to feel that their views have been properly taken into account.”
Those well-paid executives who work for us and on Friday met to discuss a way to reorganise the league structure in the next couple of weeks should pay heed. As Mr Milne suggests, we are the game, not you.

Now if the SFL could just say no as well!
For entry into the SFL they are looking at fixing it to get t hem into either Division 1 or they then they would have to look at Division 3.
Now why would the Division 1 clubs want them as it could make it near impossible for them to get promotion in the coming season?
But would the Division 3 clubs want them either as it would seriously dent any hopes of promotion and any money gain at the gate would be minimal due to the lower capacity at their grounds and increased polis costs.

Why are many so sure that a new club would gain promotion from any league they get allowed to okay in?
Perhaps they would have a reasonable chance of escaping from Div 3. But Khan of funds would mean they would be competing on an equal footing thereafter (12th man not withstanding)

My suggestion would be a play-off at a neutral venue with losers gettng gate receipts to mitigate against no SPL income.

Now there is no doubt the SFA/SPL/SFL will bring in changes to our game in time for the 13/14 season but how do they do it so the winners of this seasons div3 are promoted into the top league.
Maybe get all the chairmen on the park at this seasons cup final for a dance off.
