A wee repost from Tuesday if I may be so bold……..
A wee update in advance of our final 3 league games of our incentives to keep on keeping on –
Our best ever achievements in the top flight have been –
103 points (2001-02) – we’re currently on 97 so need to win 2 out of the 3 to equal that. But 2 wins and 1 draw would give us a new record.
105 goals (2003-04) – we’re currently on 96 so need another 10. Given the 2 away fixtures although I do remember a rain-sodden trophy presentation last day a few years back when we mollicated Hearts!
33 wins in a season (2001-02) – so far we’ve won 31 of our 35 games so need to win all 3 for a new PB.
32 game unbeaten run (2003-04) – we’ve already beaten that one as we’re currently unbeaten after 35.
Fewest defeats in a season – 1 (2001-02) – I think we are all aware that we are now just 3 games away from a new , invincible, record.
Finally, there’s also the possibility of reclaiming a previously held European record. In 2013-14 Celtic won the league by 29 points. However, last year a new record was set when Paris Saint-Germain finished 31 points clear. Currently we are 27 ahead of Aberdeen. Beat them on Friday would mean we’re then 30 ahead. And whilst we then have Partick away and Hearts at home, Aberdeen finish with 2 trips to Glasgow to face The Rangers and then Partick Thistle. Hmmmmmmmm…

Personally I think Friday night fitba is magic, I bet the fans who travelled up there tonight will be enjoying their wee trip, I realise these days not everybody works Monday-Friday but I think the away fans would love a Friday night rather than a Sunday blinking lunchtime
Good looking team Brendan, the Sheep Pen ain’t no place for experiments of shrinking violets.
Intae them Celts, we are the Champions and we shall not be moved.

Once you’ve paid your £10 entry fee you can use your joker. If you decided to puchase a 2nd one for £5 then, again once you’ve paid you can use it. If you’ve already sent in your selection you cannot change it – but you can decide to play a joker so long as you tll us before your gamne kicks off.
Should I expect an imminent email? ;-)

A draw will suit me fine, but the team selection tells me that Brendan wants to spank them.

Jobo – no :-)
Thanks for clarifying.
Brendan does ‘world class’ interviews! :-)))))
Brendan talking of the “holy trinity”. The fans, the players and the staff. Such a joy to hear this.
Superb interview with Sutty and Brendan, and there is even more to come.
Alright….i was thinking playing it on Arsenal but will leave it bud :-)
Hh
Great Chris Sutton interview with Brendan on BT Sport before the Aberdeen game. Brendan is a class act, intelligent, articulate and honest.
Full version of interview on Sunday on BT Sport – will be worth the wait
Nice to see Johnny Russell from Derby County in with the Celtic support here at Pittodrie.
