  1. I have no prouder boast to say I am Irish and have been privileged to fight for the Irish people and for Ireland. If I have a duty I will perform it to the full with the unshakable belief that we are a noble race and that chains and bounds have no part in us.

  2. TET, the fact we weren’t at the races makes it(the result) impressive.

Agree to disagree, thumbs up(Copyright Philvis)

I think we had a game plan, got in front, probably further than could be planned for, then sat in.

Two reasons for this for me.

First, don’t give away cup final game plan.

Second, a little practise, when the circumstance allowed, play it like an away qualifier, if we get in front, can we stay there?

Pure speculation of course, and probably humbug, but just that.

Show me in the rules where it says that a foul has to be deliberate

Let me put it in simple english, CG never went to deliberately take the attacking player out and commit a foul, so not a pen, there was a coming together thats all.

  4. Father David managed to finish, in good time, the blessing tonight as the body was received into the church. An hour spent in good company before heading home.

Celtic gave my mum a good send off too- we beat them 3:1 on their pitch and though they showed fight, we suffered little damage. If we can close up the space behind Lustig and Tierney, we will do enough at the other end to harm them.

3 games from a memorable season.

Now, if you will indulge me- a wee song in memory of my mother’s last few years:-

    Fading Away

You are fading away in pieces and parts

Like old china and glass, in fragments and shards

Moment by moment, a day at a time

By the side of the road, in the dark of the night

You are leaving me here like the seasons will do

Leaving nothing behind but I know it was you

That walked where I walk now, that stood where I stand

Some phantom performing a strange sleight of hand

And the places I see are returning once more

To the places I knew them to be long before

    They merged with your laugh

    They locked with your eyes

    I have almost regained them,

    Along with my stride

You are turning to nothing like ash off a fire

As it rises and floats up higher and higher

As the flame slowly dies and the fire turns cold

Like the color of sky the higher you go

And the world that I see is returning once more

To the world that I knew it be long before

It had merged with your laugh

It had locked with your eyes

I’ve been letting it go, with all my goodbyes

You are blurring like memory and falling like dust

On old wedding bouquets, the roses and rust

On the wheel, on the mantle,

    In the quiet of day

    You are vanishing slowly

    You are fading away

I recall many years ago, the time when the likes of Laurdop was playing for the hun, was at Pittodrie watching the sheep against thems, end of union st start of king street there was an almighty fight, hundreds involved, was in a bar watching this, the polis were sitting in their cars and vans doing feck all, well that isny true, they were sounding their sireens to beat the band hoping they fighting would stop, it didny, the polis just waited till it subsided and lifted those who werny lucky enough to escape with a beating, some things never change

Never a penalty. Both players went for the ball and the sheep man got there marginally first. A fair challenge from both and although contact was made there was no foul play.

Or is football not a contact sport any more?

You can put it any way you want, plain or simple english, even gobbeldygook, it makes no odds, the rules don’t allow for deliberate, or not fouls, a foul is a foul, end of.

the difference being CG never fouled , so no pen

  12. Ron67

I see things through non green tinted eyes, and he took yer man out, that is as plain as the fact you are denying it, so it was a foul, it was in the box so the rules state a pen, simple, easy when the facts are to the fore, no need for any debate, the hun ref got it wrong, I hate referees as you may well know, so it’s no like me to defend them, am no defending him tho, he got it wrong.

RON67. I agree. Both players came together in a fair challenge with no foul play involved.

    Therefore no penalty.

ok you win, i know your at the wind up, so i’m not taking the bait anymore , glad your not a ref as heaven help us if you were.

No trying to win mi amigo, and am shocked that you think I am at the wind up, I actually hate scottish referees with a passion, they have given me more grief than any woman I have ever clapped eyes on have given me in my entire life, all I am saying is how I saw the incident tonight, I thot it was a pen all day long, you don’t, let’s no fall out over it.

  17. I look forward to Celtic playing Derek McInnes & The Bottlemerchants on the big pitch at Hampden. Kick and rush is harder when you have to kick it longer and rush farther…

  18. 3 games till history.

A great season regardless, but 3 games till real history is made.

The Grandchildren of the dead club will celebrate this in their laughter for generations to come.

That’s a shame, Mrs TET would rather she wisny here, she want’s to go back to Ireland, so I will just blame you for her being here then :-)

Seriously tho, she misses her friends big time, the people here are winkers, wouldn’t even talk to them if we were living in Ireland or scotland but cos you speak the same lingo they think they are your friends, jeezo, how feckin deluded are they, all we want is a quiet life with no bother, it’s no easy, we were actually told by a brit that they talk about us cos we don’t mix with them, that got me rather riled, so the bold TET vacated to the bar and confronted them, amazing how quickly they forgot the pish they were spouting.

I agee, thats why the ref didn’t award a pen as he made a honest decision.
