Swore I wasn’t watching football until the new season after Sunday. I can’t help myself when it comes to Celtic. Likewise I wasn’t going to be on here.

And I still cannot wait for this season to get as far to f… as possible. Even though I know full well as soon as the season ends I will be champing at the bit for Celtic to play again.

    What’s a bhoy to do?

    ……………………………………………………………………..

The phrase the new normal was put out early days.

We are being socially engineered without a shadow of a doubt.

The OLDco Normal isn’t coming back.

The Ascendancy of a Scientific Dictatorship is likely Touching down.

Willie Garner on Red TV talking sense about us……he wore the hoops, he was a Celtic supporter in childhood…..so respect where it is deserved

From my blurred memory, Willie would fit right into this Celtic team. Rotten!

“I seen some figures earlier that we win a title under Brendan with 82 points – surely that should convince everyone the last ten years was the easiest time in our history to win trophies.”

    ————————————

You keep plugging that hun narrative that leagues and trophies don’t count unless they are there and they are competitive.

No league was ever won easily- no matter who finished 2nd.

I cherish and value every one of our genuinely earned trophies. I will accept no diminution of their value just because the Huns say so.

  4. GARNGAD TO CROY on 21ST APRIL 2021 9:42 PM

Watching Red TV , they have a Fat Frank McAvennie lookalike on the panel !

    —-

    That was willie garner

Played for Dons and sorry to say briefly for us.Scored two own goals on his debut.

  5. Well you can put your money on somebody blaming the ref,Sury you can come up with something better than that,Kennedy ,Strachan,Woods ,time is up for these guys

Yes I did see Willie G. play for us…….also saw all Davie Moyes games with us. My point is …..it is an honour to wear the hoops, whether it ultimately works out for you as a player …or not. Both of these players are on record as saying that it was an honour…and rightly so

  7. Tontine Tim will recall better than me but years ago Davie Provan had been injured until the last 10 games of the season and then came back, played well and went and played in Oz during the close season so he was match fit for the following season.

IF Leigh Griffiths is serious about staying with Celtic and maximising his earnings then he should do something similar.

He’s a great player and we should exhaust every avenue to having him flying but he has to show the desire.

  8. Celtic picked right up from where thet left off the other day and were soon a slack marking back post goal down, again.

Now coached by two ex centre backs that goal let Aberdeen hold on till time added on for stoppages, for an ‘as rare as sh8te from a rocking horse’ headed strikers goal in injury time. LG let us take a more than deserved draw in the deadest of dead rubbers, played in front of more squawking seagulls than the usual supporters.

The same tired Lennedy routine, toiled for 90 minutes and missed at least two guilt edged chances searching for the illusive finish, that would have marked our superiority. Aberdeen, in fairness could have stretched their lead at least twice, as well but unimaginative team selection was salvaged, this time by sub Griffith’s cushioned goal, The late appearance of Dembele did enough to guarantee he’ll play again somewhere in the last three experiments, David Turnbull had a fine game and Greg Taylor will see off at least one loanee, after another solid 90 minutes.

    M.O.M David Turnbull

  9. Not a great watch,I got it on Red TV and have to say the commentators, even allowing for a bit of favoritism, were very fair.

Playing as he is we cannot afford to play Eddie in the hope he turns up,better to move SAP.

Another 30 second cameo from our mercurial saviour

If Griffiths is still at Celtic next season then Eddie Howe has definitely not joined and we have brought Lennon back to steady the ship

You keep plugging that hun narrative that leagues and trophies don’t count unless they are there and they are competitive.

    ———————

I offer NO “hun narrative” – I did NOT say that trophies don’t count – of course they do – a look in the record books proves it.

I am simply making a judgement backed by figures – you are making insults & making up sentences to suit your “narrative”.

I can be a long-standing Celtic supporter and be objective at the same time – one does not exclude the other.

Disagree as much as you like, but please keep it relevant.

He is woefully short of form and confidence but he put in a shift tonight. I suspect the future will be decided by Eddy rather than Celtic.

GRIFFITHS still the best striker we have

But how many chances has he had

HE is his own worst enemy unfortunately

Away to Ibrox- home to St. Johnstone and away to the Hibbees- I will watch every one of them but I am unsure if it will be pleasant viewing- gonna be a long tough summer

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Need humility first of all fom the Top, then, get the very best people possible to Celtic.

Howe (not sure he’d be good enough anyway) ain’t there now – forget him…. onto the next 1……..

It is, In my view, easy to see newco will get 2 in a row because we are rudderless and Howe being plopped in, in June isnae good enough.

Dermot will be deceived like Every other by the Bad Wan.

  16. Bring back (proper) Zonal Marking. We don’t have players capable of competing man to man.

“You keep plugging that hun narrative that leagues and trophies don’t count unless they are there and they are competitive.”

That was exactly what you stated when you said they were easy

    good Night

SFTB, concur, that’s why I never bother reading his guff. Outed yonks ago. Didn’t know he came out with that Brazilian CB tonight. Suppose we need to let him indulge himself for a wee while yet, but IMO best left to wither.

  18. glendalystonsils on

Ach well , at least that is not the Celtic team we will be watching next season and not the same personnel occupying the dugout .

We might even get to watch some committed , productive football from next season’s Celtic if the freeloaders in the boardroom and their moustached overlord don’t drag their feet for too long .

  19. SFTB @ 10:08

“That was exactly what you stated when you said they were easy”

    ————

No – it is not EXACTLY what I stated – it is what you contorted it into in order to have a cheap ‘dig’.

Our greatest ever team managed by our greatest ever manager, won two trebles from 65 to 78 – now we win four trebles in ten years.

I have no interest in devaluing our achievements, I have celebrated each one – however to move ahead, the immediate past must be evaluated in order that changes can be made. Planning for the next ten years MUST be different from the last…why? – because there appears to be a stronger challenge.

    Good night to you!

I refer you to my 10:28 post.

You labour under the same misapprehension(euphamism) as SFTB to make an unsubstantiated ‘dig’.

  23. On substitute Leigh Griffiths, who found the late equaliser, Kennedy says: “He’s training well just now, got himself in better shape. He’s a penalty box player and it’s good for him to come on and get the goal.”

dearie dearie , 3 games to go

  24. JK – 😂

    Loan players, Scott Brown.

    What a Dick JK is.

Is he incapable of stamping his authority on a team??

Everyone of us in the beer tent tonight were saying the same thing.

We should start playing Christie and Moi, are they injured? Or just shoite.

    Honestly I despair

A striker that could not score in a wh#reh@#se and he plays 1 up front with all the chances…… auch I gee up.

Mentally ill striker regains composure amidst pandemic.

  26. I really wonder if the constant negativity and belittling of Celtic is the honest feelings of supporters or the way Hunterlopers want us to feel about our club , no matter how unhappy I feel about a player , game or team performance I never feel the need to post about it , there’s enough Hun fueled crap spouted about my club without me adding to it , why would a genuine Celtic supporter insult and ridicule a quadruple treble winning player like Griff or Christie , it says more about them than anything else maybe , Goodnight Bhoys n Ghirls Hail Hail to all :)

  27. Keeping Scott brown fit for his Aberdeen role whilst keeping Soro on our bench, then we will get Soro isn’t match fit….. dearie me.

Well I do feel the need and to be honest you are no better than me.

  29. spikeysauldman on

would rather watch willie garner playing for the tic (was at his 2 og debut) than listen to some of the folk on here !

  30. Sloleybhoy…

I mostly agree with you but I think that while we have a possible 40 goals a year striker then we should try everything before we let him go to Aberdeen.

As football changes and we have more subs etc maybe he could be the 1st ever ‘last 25 minute striker’ ( and maybe one of the best) so we should obviously be open minded.

Greg Taylor is another great example of a player we should keep.

Always 100pc effort and a great deputy for a 1st choice LB.

As I’ve said before, this seasons been a balls-up but we’ll our player sales and wage free-up will be £75m and £400k per week-a dream job for any manager.

Sevco are losing £2m a month just now- an absolute Gretnaesque basket-case.
