The managers job is to ensure that each player knows his role and what is expected of him.
The players often look as if they don’t know what is expected of them.
The managers job is to set out tactics appropriate for each opponent and to alter these tactics as the game demands
The current team seems imbalanced tactically and any changes made during games don’t seem to address the problem.
So let’s not get caught up in personal abuse of the manager , let’s just concentrate on how well he fulfils these key requirements.

Anyone brought in would be a temporary appointment.
Our playing staff is in place until summer at least.
Any replacement will need time to know the strengths and weaknesses of everyone.
As I said earlier we need to hold our collective noses and encourage the players.
We have a favorable run of fixtures in February with the EK cup tie at the weekend followed by a couple of home games.
Aberdeen meanwhile will drop points providing us with a bigger cushion than the 4 points we virtually have at present.

There was none. Because the Aberdeen manager had a blip. A blip contrasted again sustained good performance.
Ronny isn’t having a blip. This is a continued and sustained pattern of failure. In big games Ronny’s team fails to deliver. He’s also failed to bring in decent players. How many of the 22/23 signing could even charitably be described as a success? How many players has he improved?
Can you tell me where Ronny has succeeded? Or what, after 18months of failure on failure leads you to see potential?

And its what we’re left with till the end of the season , so we’ll have to make the most of it , and pray broonie doesn’t get injured again . Talking of bottle I have yet to see Stewart Armstrong last 90 minutes , Gary McKay smith has no stomach for a battle . James Forrest not the least bit interested in the jersey . Lustig I don’t know what has happened to this lad . But he also has lost it . Jose seems always to be injured as does commons now . As is mulgrew . biton Can celtic afford a player like him. He can undoubtedly play , but doesn’t get the time to prance about in Scottish football , too lackadaisical for any team wanting to hit with speed , and too soft to boot . Johanson another lad that has sadly gone back always . Wasn’t a big fan of Calum McGregor but the lad works a shift for the team . Boyata worth holding onto in the hope he comes good . Craig Gordon . Griffiths , broonie , teirney . Erik , Richards , will do for me . Allan Christie , Roberts ,due a chance , but so many wee bhoys . That’s just my summary of the state were in .with regards RD . Gees things can certainly change very quickly. 8-1 against Hamilton seems a long time ago.
It’s very frustrating, we’ve seen sparks of what we’re capable of against Inter, fenerbache and Ajax.
There’s just no consistency. Defensively we’re all over the show. Tonight my heart was in my mouth everytime we conceded a corner. FFS that level of incompetence is hard to stomach.
Ronny is on very thin ice, he’ll be lucky to get through this.
SKY’s silence when Leigh Griffiths scored was very eerie, and you had to be a Celtic fan to know the ball was in the net with both commentators in denial.
Andy Walker earned his soup with a most embarrassing tirade that didn’t reflect the run of the play at all, but suited his agenda. David Tanner smirked whilst patting him on the back, and a puzzled Hans Hilhaus sat sheepishly.
A bizarre game of football saw Celtic’s far too lightweight midfield huff and puff, until Aberdeens first shot at goal zipped past dozy Gordon. Then before Celtic could fanny about again, Brown and Sviatchenko blamed each other after allowing a competent Aberdeen to go two up by just turning up at a corner.
Ronny Deila was forced to make his team heavier with CKG whilst the deadly Dundee double looked decidedly Dundonian. Calum McGregor was easily out muscled and it was on 90 minutes before the ball eventually fell then sat up on Griffiths left peg, for the sound of pin drop.
Pass marks for Brown, Boyata and Sviatchenko ( when he’s fit ) but Mikel Lustig and Keiran Tierney are both suffering burn out in Ronny’s notorious format, with both offering zilch in attack, and Lustig especially having trouble getting back so often in just a few days.
