    I hear what you say.

As I said earlier, I believe our silence is taken as acquiescence. Personally I believe we’re not interested in challenging the nonsense which to my mind explains the club’s silence.

If we came out and contested the weekly nonsense it would give the support some belief we were at least not accepting it.

Why should we be worried about being dismissed as paranoid by the MSM ? When did we ever get anything off them?

How we challenge it? We’re assured by many people on here that Mr Desmond and Mr Lawwell are very clever men. If they have a will to challenge the skullduggery I’m sure they’ll find a way.

Ya Bass! I had to scroll all the way back just in case I said something out of place…..up yours :O) hh

  3. A Gentle Reminder

    Please support if possible :::::

The CQN/Sentinelcelts community, and the many friends of Garry Duncan aka Delaneys Dunky, would like to commemorate Garry’s life and friendship as well pay respect to his recent untimely passing.

We have had many great suggestions from you on how we best commerate Garry’s life, including flowers, a memorial brick, donation to Mary’s meals and financial support for the family etc.

Garry’s family, like so many others in our world today, is not a rich family and find their wealth is through the happiness of the family, so to have the burden of not only laying Garry to rest, but also the cost that goes with it is horrific .

Having spoken with Garry’s son Ryan, we feel it appropriate to pass any monies raised direct to the family to let them decide the best way to use it.

Anyone who wants to support the family in leaving a long lasting commemoration in honour of Garry can do so through making a donation via bank transfer to –

o Account name: Walk With Shay

    o Account number: 15326765

    o Sort code: 80-22-60

    o Bank: Bank of Scotland

Please note – tick business account

:You can also make a donation via paypal to walkwithshay@yahoo.com

Donations will close on Friday 8th October.

Thank you in advance for supporting Garry and his family at this very difficult time.

    🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Huge Thanks to CRC for supporting, with the use of the Walk with Shay Legacy Fund/account, ensuring support can get there quickly

  4. DanDan, read your note earlier on Young Daniel

You have some fantastic memories to Cherish

Can anyone explain the difference between the new Aberdeen superstar tackle on Kyogo, and the one resulting in an Hibs player being Sent off

I noticed the Celtic player being hit in the tackle, theHibs player made contact with the ball

Why are we refereed differently 🤔

( mind another in some eyes)

Incidentally fantastic effort from young Adam today in creating our 2nd goal ( he also had a very good pass in the lead up to Jota hitting the bar)

  5. All you chaps who felt it was not a Red are obviously wrong because this is how an expert described it:

“Hibernian’s Ryan Porteous was sent off for a “wild” and “leg-breaking” tackle, says Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.”

Gerrard is obviously correct as the impartial BBC opened their article with that comment.

    `night all.

  6. HOT SMOKE -how many times have players came in to our players at that speed over the last few seasons.

KT,Frimpong to name but two.It doesn’t matter if he caught the player or not.It was reckless

  7. Celtic40me @7.05

    Good post.

I’m happy with a win today, not perfect but after a painful night on Thursday a good reason as a Celtic supporter to be happy.

I know the huns got a dodgy decision 😲

Adam Montgomery had a tough day at times today I thought, however he never gave up and set up the Jota for the winner. HH ☘

  8. FAIRHILL BHOY

Cheers , went on a wee genre crusade .

From piano, to disco , to guitar, to country , ending in soul ….twas a long night lol.

  9. Morelos should have been sent off for his assault on porteous before the red. His attack was that, an attack which was violent and endangered an opponent. Not even a yellow.

  10. Morelos challenge today on porteus reminded me off his assault on wee Frimpongs achilles last season, completely unnecessary. No booking 😲

  11. I’m not saying that the referees haven’t cheated us in games.

They have been doing it my whole life.

My first memory was after the 1970 Scottish Cup final , when Bobby Davidson cheated us and has been happening ever since.

Until our club grow a pair and say something, it will continue.

Still think we should have beat Hearts and Dundee Utd , even allowing for the decisions that went against us.

  12. Out of the 2 games we had this week, the sheep was my biggest worry.

Glad we got thru it and bagged the points.

We didnt seem as porous wth an extra defensive midfielder (and the sheep are gash) but did notice after bitton went of for rogic we got a lot more stretched

Happy at the result, new bhoys doing well again

  13. CARDBOARDCSC on 3RD OCTOBER 2021 10:20 PM

Marsapa. He was superb in Filth alongside our good bhoy James McAvoy.

    ———————————————–

He was awesome in Ray Donovan too , as i say a fantastic actor.👍🍻…

  14. Bhoy From The Boyne on

Delighted we got the victory today. I thought Bitton did ok and I was glad to see him start as the #6. We obviously needed that bit of quality to get the 2nd goal and Tam stood up!

We are struggling in the final 3rd. Abada scores goals but he needs to add more to his game. The kid has only turned 20, has don’t want to be hard on him but I rarely see him take on a man and beat him. Hopefully much more development to come from him.

We will need a fit James Forrest in order to win this league. We just don’t stretch the opposing defences as much as we do with James F in the team.

Kyoko & (fit again) Forrest together will create a lot in this league.

  15. After a restful night, I see many mentioning how good we will be after sickbay returns and a January window.

Given how games are reffed, we could sign Sergio Ramos and Messi yet still be too far behind to claw it back.

Puzzled why some of Ange’s pressers dont see him call out the dodgy decision-making, along these lines…

“I’ve played in many different leagues and comps but this is the strangest league for inconsistent refereeing decisions…”

He was Mr Bolshie when he arrived; why now the meek Greek ?

    HH

PS: Turnbull has lovely feet but he often slows our forward press by doubling backwards. HH

  16. Nick Walsh is the new Willie Collum,’ we know you’re a Tim ,and you will bend over backwards for the money ‘

  17. TOM MCLAUGHLIN on 3RD OCTOBER 2021 2:18 PM

Let’s stop this nonsense of demanding Celtic lodge a complaint about the referee every Monday morning. It’s the same after every game.

Did he disallow a legitimate Celtic goal?

Did he turn down a clear Celtic penalty claim?

Did he allow an illegal Aberdeen goal?

Did he award a non-penalty to Aberdeen?

Did he red card a Celtic player?

So what would be the basis of the complaint? Oh right. Too many free-kicks.

I thought Madden was shit, but asking for club statements is just silly.

    ——

    Agreed.

  18. Good morning cqn from a happy but wet Garngad

A good 3 points yesterday against a crap Aberdeen who were allowed to cheat at will by Mr Madhun.

Anyone who thinks we should not complain is missing the point.

Complain on Health and safety of our players, complain about strange decisions, complain about everything and watch these referees crawl back under their rocks for fear of being caught.

We know the cheating at the sfa exists, we have proven that time and time again.

Whether you liked John Reid or not he was not for taking shite from them, also wee Fergus.

Grow a pair Celtic. Or does it suit the corrupt boards narrative.

Anyway hopefully the 2 week break gives us time to get players back fit and give Ange options.

Still playing Cal Mac to deep though.

    D :)

  19. FWIW, I think it would not be a good idea for Celtic to lodge a complaint but some `light-hearted` comments in interviews by our Manager and players about the number of fouls given against us might sow a seed..

  20. Tom McLaughlin on

The clip of the Porteous red card incident posted on CQN yesterday was in slow motion. You often don’t get the full context of a situation in slow motion.

So having watched Sportscene last night, I quickly came to the conclusion that a red card was the correct decision. Porteous was off the ground and flying in at speed with his studs showing. The fact that he connected with the ball with the back of his thigh shows how high his leg was.

The Rangers player was very lucky Porteous didn’t connect as it was a potential leg breaker.

In my honest opinion the referee had every right to show red. It doesn’t matter that he didn’t connect. Dangerous play like that can and should be punished for intent alone.

Porteous was very foolish and badly let his team and his manager down.

He has previous for that sort of tackle.
