Just watched Cement’s post match interview on `Premier Sports.

I see the cheeky chappy’s media exile didn’t last long.

It’s clear to see how lucky Sevco were in the semi final draw .

If they had been playing Aberdeen today they would have been out .

  4. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Good point Glendaly, when I saw I saw the draw I thought they might give it a go since it was the cup.

No dice, from what `i saw from the highlights.

Of course maybe their effort levels would have been different if they’d been drawn against us🤔

I commented here earlier about hertz’s lack of commitment against the huns.

I suppose in their defence they know the difference between playing us and the huns. They can foul against us with impunity and that is not the case against the hun.

I was speaking to a hertz fan after the game and told him I’ve seen a post that says….

Sevco v Minis last 10 games

    Wins 10-0

    Goals 28-5

    Clean sheets 7-0

Cheered him up no end 🤣

  6. Cup football

Aberdeen really gave us a game of it yesterday

Coventry should have beat Man U after being 3-0 down

Hearts ….. urm done what Hearts do against their big pals …. shocking… imagine supporting that lot today !

I was told yesterday that the local hertz supporters club left early today to go to some masonic lodge down Glesga way, brotherlylove and all that 🫠

    Hope the link works.

Aulder hauns like myself will remember this game.

Arranged as a friendly to give Celtic experience of playing South American opposition prior to meeting Racing Club.

Kyogo runs off the ball are unbelievable, the problem is that his teammates don’t see it.

Watch him closely it is a lesson on how a striker should play .HH

  10. The best thing about that semi.

Them Huns mention the IRA and bobby sands in their songs more than anyone else does.

BUT….You ” Cared Enough” in the 1st place to question WHY SFTB Posted about his Pals Horses ?

    You are contradicting yourself.

There was NOTHING WRONG with SFTB’s Post about his Pals Horses, so why did you feel the need to question him ?

  13. Good morning all from a dry sunny Garden of God.

I love when it’s dry, sunny, the wee birds singing etc.

Now 6 more sleeps to we see the Famous Glasgow Celtic.

It was good for cal mac to get some competitive minutes in his legs. I hope he gets back up to speed quickly.

Saturday and on a few occasions this season we have practically by passed the midfield and played down the flanks. This is why it is ever so important that the wingers step up and be on top of their game.

B78 said…” There is no amount of incredible negative views and opinion from malcontent people who are happy moaning that can change these FACTS.”…..

That ” Statement from BURNLEY78, had me laughing out loud….This is the SAME GUY who ” MOANS” about the Celtic support on a Daily basis !

POT, KETTLE and BLACK comes to mind.

BURNLEY78,… YOU appear to spend MORE TIME watching any Celtic supporter who happens to leave before Full Time at Celtic Park….IF someone DOES happen to leave a bit early …..it is NONE of Your Business. Do those Celtic supporters have to ask YOUR ” PERMISSION” to leave a bit early ?

YOU would be as well to LEAVE EARLY at Celtic Park….because YOU can NOT have seen much of any game, when YOU are constantly watching what Celtic supporters are doing, while play is going on ?

You must be one of those ” NOSEY NEIGHBOURS” that I read/hear about ?

  17. Good morning from a dry but overcast North Wales – 11deg C 🥶 in the caravan – think I’ll turn the heating on.

Not looking forward to 25th May – hate playing that mob.

  18. Tom McLaughlin on

    Just been reading back.

Posters claiming VAR is killing football because a Coventry player was “millimeters” offside. It was inches, not millimeters, but that apart, offside is offside. You can’t allow a goal to stand because the player was “only just” offside.

Where do you draw the line? 1 inch? 6 inches?

The same posters would be calling for VAR to be scrapped if a goal was given against Celtic because it was only a wee bit offside.

I felt sorry for Coventry but VAR did its job.

  19. Ive just watched on YOUTUBE that ” DIVE” by the Hun called SILVA v Hearts, as I missed it in real time yesterday.

Was that Hun CHUMP ” Yellow Carded” for yet another blatant DIVE ? I see that McCoist in his co commentary role was busy LAUGHING at SILVA’S , instead of condemning the Blatant CHEATING …yet again !

I close friend of mine who was a ” rangers” fan and season book holder for many years, would tell me after several games at Ibrox in Mid Week that were NOT ” TELEVISED” ( It was the early 1980’s ), that the DIVING and CHEATING by Hun player ” John McDonald ” was becoming so regular that even the HUN FANS were LAUGHING at him !

That was the ” John McDonald” from Drumchapel who had the Nick Name…”POLARIS”….Even the Hun fans called him by his Nick Name !

    Another BLATANT Hun CHEAT.

I HATE that Hun MOB, and I HATE playing them.

How many Celtic supporters will be VICTIMS of the Hun Fan Violence before and after the ” Game”.

    ………

IF it is called OFF…..It maybe a Blessing in Disguise as it ” Looked” as though wee Jamesy Forrest MAY have been injured on Saturday just before he was Subbed ?

If so, Jamesy MIGHT need MORE Time to get Fit again ?

He was Celtic’s BEST Player when he came on v Aberdeen on Saturday….IMHO.

If you’re looking in I tried to leave the price of a couple of pints for you behind the bar in the Tavern .

Big Peter wouldn’t take it as he said he had no idea when you’d be back in as your living through in Edinburgh .

He did mention you were in last Saturday (I think)

Anyhoo , mibbe another time .

That was very good of you, thanks for the kind gesture.

I was in last Saturday afternoon watching the St Mirren game as I was attending a birthday party in the evening. That was my first Tavern visit for some time so Peter was right not to take your money.

I’ll let you know when I plan to visit again.

I love beating TheRangers much more than I like playing them. If I’m lucky enough to get a ticket, I’ll look forward to Hampden. If not, it’s the pub for me.

  25. Football should not be measured in millimetres.

The attacking player should always get the benefit of doubt without the need to judge a players big toe size.

One pixel lines, taking camber etc into consideration is a joke and is ruining the ” beautiful ” game.

I would wager the markings on the oark would not pass this VAR technological criteria.

    Let common sense prevail.

Coventry were robbed by the Establishment team.

“Football should not be measured in millimetres.

The attacking player should always get the benefit of doubt without the need to judge a players big toe size.”

As soon as you introduce an element of subjectivity into whether a player is offside or not then in Scotland Sevco will always ” get the benefit of the doubt” , Celtic never.

As long as VAR is deciding on offside then quite happy if it come down to millimeters.

  27. Tom McLaughlin on

If a player’s foot was millimeters offside, VAR lines couldn’t be separated, so it would be deemed as in-line therefore onside.

The Coventry player was at least 6 inches offside. Yes, he was millimeters offside. 150 millimeters.

When my son and I watched the TV replay, we both said — He’s off. My mate in Glasgow texted me — He looks offside. That was without a VAR machine.
