Wow some amount of negativity on here. We won as players are assimilating into a new style and a few of our regulars like Maeda not quite fully firing.
James Forrest proves best fit winger at Celtic two years after his testimonial, and noticeable gaps in the squad,i f filled might have improved the scoreline, but not the overall performance or result.
Kieran Upgrade Tierney provided that floated cross Greg Taylor only ever dreamt of, and goal threat Benny Nygren, popped up to open his league account. FWIW – Nygren and Engels are different players, they’ll both play loads of games for Celtic this season, but won’t be in direct competition for the same starting position.
CCV’s body, as usual gets fitter as the season progresses and if he stays fit we’re in a good place with Scales, Trusty and Simpson Pusey, MacGregor remains the main man best midfielder in the league, and with Hatate reawakening the Daily Rancour correspondent will be on the hotline to Brentford after Reo’s sublime top corner finish.
Celtic are on a different level to Aberdeen whose only hope went with last May’s penalty bingo.
With Brendan Michael & Christopher all on the same page the club will begin to look like it can kick on from the double, and Euro progress.
Played well within ourselves, apart from gifting them possession several times (Hatate and Scales most guilty) they didn’t do much, we limited them to diagonal long range passes, which more often than not went out of play.
After listening to Boyd, I feel much better after all the negativity on CQN recently. People were either quoting Boyd or he was quoting them, because he constantly expressed what was being foisted on us day after day just recently.
If Boyd is saying it, then I am sure it is nonsense.

was an ok performance today against a team of spoilers. Scales and Hatate guilty of poor passing. Was more of a battle than silky fast football. After we matched their efforts – it was quality that shone through. Tierney to Nygren and Hatate unsavable to corner shot.

Didn’t fully appreciate just how brilliant Reo’s goal was until I saw the camera angle from behind him . One touch , then bend it round the defender with power , into where no goalkeeper could reach it .

Good result, decent preformance, if somewhat slow. It is just early days so most important thing is winning.
Scales’ slow distribution and poor passing needs to be addressed. I hope he can improve this. When he gives the ball away we are generally instantly on the back foot because of the position he plays.
Hatate may give the ball from time to time, but generally its when he plays the ball forward so even though the pass can be risky the teams position/ shape reduces immediate risk.
Adam worked his ass off all game, but to little service is hampering him. A lot to do with the way we play but he does need to impose himself more on games.
Ccv, aj and kt were all good as as trusty when he came on.
Calmac kept it ticking over and Ben showed up well, albeit you can see he is still trying to get up to speed of our game.
Meade was quiet, and forrest was mature in his preformance.
KS done good, distribution was good.
All the subs done well enough.
We now appear well served at the back and in the middle, but need more out wide and up top if meade is not gonna be moved there. A left back also needed if Brandon does not fancy inamura, which would be a shame as hs has looked decent, perhaps a loan with view to bringing him back

In other words, even if Liverpool does sign Isak, it would be surprising to see a total net spend much higher than the $265 million (ÂŁ200 million) mark. That’s still obviously a far bigger summer than normal at Anfield, but it’s effectively two summers’ worth of spending, and it comes after a season where the Reds earned record sums for topping the new-look league phase of the Champions League.
