After their noisy flag waving performance pre match, credit is due to the Aberdeen fans for having a go at breaking the world record for a group sponsored silence, 92 minutes for 20,000 people is some going!

Referees have the discretion of interpreting the rules.
i have seen worse refs than Beaton today.
But during the game i stated he was applying different interpretation of similar tackles by both sides.
Every time a Celtic went in from behind the ref correctly called a foul.
He did not apply the same criteria from Dons tackles from behind by allowing quite a few.
His booking of Brown was correct.
Not complaining about fouls against us but his leniency and different standards was the reason for Dons low foul count.
It was the Thursday after Davie’s funeral, him and Siobhan were meant to fly to Milan.
A big pal of Davie’s was a Chelsea fan who hated the huns. . He took Davie to a Chelsea game and Davie asked a badge seller if he had any Chelsea IRA badges for sale.

Morning , lads.
Just watched the recording of the game.
Our dominance took me back to the early `60s when the huns would knock us over with consummate ease.
Thoroughly enjoyed the contest on and off the field.
Plain speaking from Chris Sutton instead of the mealy mouthed platitudes we have become used to over the years.
Very happy for all Tims .
Particularly Brendan whose new broom has transformed us overnight.
He deserves it.
We deserve it.

O G, I was told a few years ago a CSC left from the Captain’s Rest.
I hope that’ it is still a Celtic friendly pub.
Years ago the Royalty was owned by the same family who owned the Smiddy in Partick but I believe they got shot of the Royalty due to its clientele.

CBB We chortled at the Dons flag display before kick off. We all knew the GB had kept their power dry for something special. And it was magnificent. Hh

General points after a great day out.
Getting away from around Hampden is feckin torture. An hour to join the motorway.
I am able to get tickets for the top deck south stand at Hampden. Sat in silver section today. Right behind the media gallery. Great view of the pitch. Watched Willie miller actually applaud the forrest goal.
Now the doon side. You can’t actually see the trophy podium . and the polis wouldn’t let Celtic fans into the empty two rows over the empty Aberdeen section below. Arseholes.
And why is there no big screen live action. Or ceremony.
That story about the Chelsea/ IRA badges confirms it’s the same guy. A class act.
Loved my afternoon spent with him in the Bigg Market , Newcastle wandering around the CD stalls while Davie asked every stall owner for the latest Bert Klampfert CD
Drink had been taken.

My only regret for today was Kieran wasn’t playing but I’m certain he will pick up many cup medals in the future.
In their day winning the Glasgow cup and the charity cup were very big deals.
Our first trophy the Glasgow north charity cup.
What about our winning of the prestige one off.
The British. The empire. The coronation.
All Brit but we won them.
By my reckoning we are on trophy 163.

Up early to watch the game. Back to bed at four and up again at six. That is the lot of Aussie based Tims.
DOMINANT display by the team. Here are my thoughts on the game below. G64. I know what you mean about KT. Imagine last year going into a Cup Final without KT and wee Leigh. We would have been depressed. As it was we were missing Scotty S yesterday too and we did not break stride. Please read, comment and share. HH!!
It was like a kitten playing with a ball of wool. If that’s the best McKinness can do, long may he be the manager of Aberdeen, another X Hun with a big mouth, all cowboy and no cattle, bottom line, bawbag.

A refreshingly reasoned assessment of the referee’s performance today. I fully concur. He got most big calls right but was inconsistent in the smaller things ,to our disadvantage. It doesn’t make posters who criticised him for it wrong, or talking sh**e ,as one previous poster suggested.
