Nesbitt will hopefully get a chance with us.He may or may not make it.

    Different environment and coach.

We have a different football philosophy and his vision may suit.

Would rather we gave our youngsters given a chance before signing other youngsters.

Hope to see areas strengthened for next season in Europe but experience would be preferred

.Christie .Ajer and Henderson could still breakthrough in second half of season.

  2. I’m delighted for James Forrest who gave a sublime performance today. I have defended him many times on here but to be honest, doubts crept in once or twice. I hope Jamesie is going to show us all the real class player that we all know he has the ability to be – but on a regular basis.

    Macjay1,

    Wee Walter ?

    WITS,

Water boarding ? Is that the same as surfing? Sounds like fun!

  4. Aberdeen lining up to watch Celtic in the Huddle was a mistake. While Celtic are bonding as a team that last minute before KO the Aberdeen side, like everyone else in the park were watching . An attempt at intimidation I suppose. So when the Huddle breaks everybody cheers; sounds like Aberdeen fans are also cheering the bhoys.

When Scott Brown took his yellow card for the team, the contest effectively ended . After the card the Captain was much less reckless going into tackles. Score was already 2-0 so that helped as well but it seemed to me that our defending got stronger. And of course the penalty took it right out of the Dons.

Easy to see things in a clear light when the cup is back at Paradise;nerve-racking apprehension for 90 minutes while watching though.

Fascinating stuff. The school photos were contemporary with mine and I half expected my own to pop up.

    Thanks.

Madison is on loan from Norwich.

We already have Nesbitt who to me is similar.

    ………..

Haven’t had the pleasure of seeing young Aiden but my brother and nephew tell me that he is very good. If he’s similar to Maddison, he must be very good so I’m all for giving him a try.

Aberdeen’s stance during our huddle was lifted from rugby.

I have seen it used by inferior times trying to face down the All Blacks’ Hakka.

A futile act of bravado in this case.

Hands up everyone who has booked a day of tomorrow.

Day off even ya thick Hun! ;-)

  9. Emus My apologies my learned friend. I blame it on the comprehensive education system in Perthshire and the rioja I’ve been swallowing. Hh

Off to my cradle, after a most pleasant afternoon and evening. All Celtic related.

I admit to being worried pre match, fearing a post Barca hangover.

I’m not sure we fully appreciate the exceptional fitness levels of the squad.

    Miss Green taught me.

Miss Sutherland primary headmistress. Used to sell wee packets of sweets for a penny.

    Had my first Communion there.

  12. I shall bid you all a fine good night when the hoops are now less than even money to win the treble and we’re in November. Hh

Sorry that you missed today’s game over in Sin City. Our Bhoy from there hasn’t been on since you mentioned your trip!

Hopefully someone will post extended highlights of it for you.

    And me-I missed it too!!

Seems some bookies are pricing us up to win the title before end Jan.

    Bit ambitious,I reckon.

Rioja??? I take it you polished off your Aussie red earlier? :-)

  16. Just watched the whole game back……

Absolutely over the moon about the result and for just about the first time in history has a great seat at the dump that is Hampden.

Lots of good individual performances today, but a really sound team performance. We had balance, aggression and really have pace and ability to hurt teams. Long may it continue.

The 2 centre halfs for me are really starting to gel as a unit. Both good on the ball, don’t panic and have decent defensive strength. Aberdeen didnt look like scoring.

Special mention though for Forrest and Brown. If I was to scan back to CQN in May June time, the comments were common that their time at Celtic was coming to an end. Forrest had flattered to deceive for too long and Broonies legs had gone. THAT to me is the difference of Brendan Rodgers, we can talk about Dembele and Sinclair, good signings though they undoubtedly are, BUT he has invigorated others. He’s given them purpose and Forrests case belief.

A top notch manager, a solid platform to move forward from.

    It’s good to be a Tim :-)

Ps I know football isn’t a game for sentiment, but felt for Griffiths today.

  17. Another thing……..BT Sport (even with Steven Craigan) is soooooo far ahead of Sky and BBC when it comes to their coverage.

There is a passion and pride about how they go about it. Sky sneers, BBC pines for the establishment.

Spot on mate. Nail well and truly hit on the head. The man management of Brendan has been immense. The players have responded.

  19. BMCUW

It is a bit ambitious as we have a winter break.

    Maybe BT Valentine’s Day.

What else do we celebrate that day?

I don’t think there’s enough jelly and ice cream for all the mirth.

  20. Checking the fixture list, we have the dead team at CP on March 11.

Maybe a fitting day to clinch the title?
