  1. Cowiebhoy…

Not so sure Federer has upped his game of late, a toss of a coin for me.

Fecking rain, ninety minute delay, too late for me, like usual I’ll miss the climax :(

  2. You know the thing I hate the most ,is the comments the manager has lost the dressing room.

The manager must be allowed to manage, any player who rebels should be shown the door,if there is I bet you and i could name them..

Imagine the schoolroom situation, the kids telling the teacher his/her job, ridiculous ,get rid of the troublemakers.

  3. What worried me about our management team was the substitutions of Rogic and Lustig.

They were making those changes just prior to Hayes’ red. The remit changed then, despite that the substitutions went ahead as originally planned.

  4. Incidentally I should have added a poor manager

Cause yesterday when Hayes was being sent off, he should have told his 2 subs to sit down and taken 2 mins to reconsider the team and tactics required

Aiden bhoy, if I can find your email address, I will send over the file provided by the Res 12 Bhoys, for shareholders only and follow instructions outlined in the notes

    Hail Hail

  5. Cowiebhoy

    Fair points.

But wrong regarding the qualifiers, the plan was Virgil in, to keep us in, and how were we to retaliate first, before we lost a £13M Centre Back?

Dedryk Boyata was bought very sharpish in July, when Jason Denayer made it clear he wanted to return to MC.

What do you want Celtic to do?

Who could replace Jason Denayer (who this time last year was ‘too wee’ to be a Celtic CB?). He turned out fine, after a season of practice, but headed down the motorway in June, and Celtic quickly bought another Belgian prospect ‘the same as him’

If there was a fault it happened the season before compounded by the need for speed in bringing in Jason Denayer ‘on loan’.

  6. LENNYBHOY. & DOC

Cheers , never felt so wanted since I was the only one of the Anthill Mob with the parents car and we wanted to get to the Covenanters in Darvel! Guys from Lanarkshire of a certain vintage will relate to that.

Not big on arriving at a strange place on my own but will follow closely , looks like there could be a lot to talk about?

  7. Jmccormixk….

It’s the worst clique in the world they let anybody in (even me)

Would love to talk rubbish with you about the famous Glaagow Celtic

By the way I am about to hit my kip but even after defeat and around 40 odd pages of mince (myself included) CQN pulls it back

    oíche mhaith agus dia

  8. Hi Calamar. US govt statistics, not UK. There is no doubt that prescription drugs cause many more deaths than they should, but I think that any claims need to be kept in perspective, and backed up with good stats wherever possible.

I have ‘limited’ faith in the drug industry, but fortunately they are not in charge of compiling the figures.

    Best regards.

  9. JMcCormack, don’t go on your own, come with me and LennyBhoy.

Lots go knowing no-one, but leave with many new friends.

  10. Doc…

It was the impress file, it’s a secret! only to be issued to people with an IQ off 140 plus, I’ll photocopy mine and send you one:)

“I do however think that the expressions of anger/disappointment/angst after yesterday are as much to do with the Malmö result as what took place in Aberdeen. ”

Which is why I said “The evidence of the heart is that the last two CL knockouts are very hard to take because they were so eminently winnable. ”

The 2nd half of both matches is worrying because we should be showing more fight. I think we all know there is a sign of dissension and unhappiness there post-Malmo. The real hard part of any season is when the dropped points domestically becomes a regularity. If that allies with a poor Europa campaign, we have the perfect storm.

But all we have, for sure, so far, is a CL knockout and a not-yet-top-of-the-league situation. We have boxed ourselves into a corner where we will need both a good October in the league and a fair start to Europa. I feel sure we will come good in the league but I think the latter is unlikely. We have 2 of our 3 toughest fixtures to start with. If we lose the eminently loseable Ajax (away) and Fenerbache (home), the complaints noise will intensify.

Shame, but that is the reality.

It will help if more show Griffiths attitude. I can easily imagine that he is one of the less-convinced-about-Ronny members of the squad but he still applied himself professionally on the pitch. We need more of that from half the team.

  12. Doc, are you a shareholder ? Only if so and were a supporter of Res 12 will I send this on :-)

BCW, I was typing as your were posting – drat :-) but glad more than me thinks this way

Sipsini – any truth to the rumour TBJ is reaching his :-)

    And finally

BSR – I was told in June a deal had been agreed for VVD, was even given the agreed fee, which was correct, why did we wait until last day of window to sign 2 new defenders, if we already knew he was away, particularly if Jozo was No1 target ? Oh and a back up left back a lot have been asking for – and Izzy would have been better for that game yesterday, another Ronny blunder

    Hail Hail

  13. CowieBhoy, I bought shares so I could be signatory to the resolution, as you already know.

    Roaster.

    JMcCormack, email noted.

  14. Bourne

The root of the problem is that we have an absentee landlord for whom CFC is a nice little earner and a means to some nice away days in Europe and the USA .

I have no doubt that were he to take a direct interest in the running of the club he would do a good job because he is obviously very successful at what he turns his business hand to!

However along with the board he has now set in train a policy which has done what it was set up to do – namely bring down the debt and make us live within our means.

The problem being now that just like the Tories we are cutting for the sake of cutting while still trying to make the Moneyball plan pan out!

Since MON left PL has become the de facto Director of Football. WGS. did an outstanding job in the circumstances cutting the wage bill while bringing success at home and abroad. Since WGS left we have gone for two inexperienced candidates who should never have been selected as managers. Lenny got by because he had worked with some excellent managers and had them on call to help out. Ronnie as we know was supposed to be an assistant but somehow landed the top job. He, like Lenny, could hardly refuse such an offer. So now we have downsized on players and managers to such an extent that results like Malmo and yesterday can happen and not surprise people. If it’s true that PL has been meeting senior players today then things might unravel quicker than we think. A manager who has to rely on a club official to run the dressing room is a bit like the young teacher that needs the heidie in the room to teach! You just know it’s not going to end well!

The transfer window is shut and I doubt if we could afford to pay off these guys – so what happens next?

If results don’t turn does PL go in the dressing room at HT in games?

Easier to drop the manager in the short term but that would be fatal in the longer term to bow to player power – unless you drop the manager and bring in a real hard edged bandit who would sort the players until you can move them on in January!

    HH

  15. CowieBhoy, perhaps Jozo wouldn’t sign until then?

He has a say in when, and for whom, he signs, we can’t force players to sign for our convenience.

    Although they should obviously.

  16. SFTB

As you know I didn’t want us to sign LG but that had nothing to do with his ability on the park. I agree, his attitude on the pitch has been fantastic and he deserves real credit for the manner in which he’s applied himself. You’re correct, he wasn’t convinced by Ronny’s ‘strict’ regime.

Is there disharmony to the extent that some are suggesting? I’ve no idea and it’ll take more than a Matt McGlone tweet to convince me. However, things don’t like quite right just now.

Let’s hope collectively it can be turned around soon.

  17. McDowellcelt god bless wee oscar on

Is it any wonder there is supposed dressing room unrest?? The managers tactics, decision making, team selections are shocking! Johansen hasn’t kicked a ball since April has kicked plenty of players and got stupid yellow cards is about only thing he’s done. Continually chosen over commons who has scored loads for us and is our most creative player. Gms hasn’t kicked a ball since pre season starts yesterday, rogic flew half way round the world during the week yet starts, ciftci brought in and takes stokes place in squad when lets be honest stokes is a better player and has proved himself at Celtic over the last few years chipping in with plenty of goals. Janko started away to Malmo yet manager brings on ambrose yesterday. Players aren’t stupid and is it any wonder they are getting restless.

  18. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gerry, it was a pleasure for myself also to put a face to a blog name.

I hope the next generations of our support have the same amount of passion for our team as most on the blog and elsewhere have.

Some posters suffered the fifties, early sixties as well as the late eighties (centenary season apart), and the nineties, but still support our team with the same passion.

  19. For your cheek I’m not sending you the file :-)

Will be with you in a minute, once I find my pigeon

I’ve been going to games on a regular basis since early 1970’s, since 1974 this club has sold it’s best players. Only during Martin O’Niels tenure did we stop doing this.

I’m not to fussed about being beaten by Aberdeen as they were our main rivals last season. I notice that the usual suspects(most of whom don’t go to games) are out in force again.

I’ll be there next week, with 2 Polish guys I work with., great promotion from our club btw to give every season ticket holder the opportunity to purchase 2 free tickets for the Dundee game.

Anyway all you that never go to games who are so upset, as TD would say GIRFUY

Ronny keeps getting described as a rookie manager but he ranks as 8th out of 18 Celtic managers in terms of prior experience.

He has more prior management experience than Jock Stein, Billy McNeill (1st time around), Tommy Burns & Davie Hay.

And, though he ranks behind Tony Mowbray and Lou Macari, they did not have much top league experience and neither had any European experience as a manager- Ronny has.

He may still prove to be not good enough for Celtic, but it will not be on the grounds of prior experience.

  22. Cowiebhoy

Any ‘deal’ if there was one struck in June was clearly based on VVD going after the CL qualifiers, he or his agent were good quiet bhoys all throughout.

What would CQN have been like had we sold him in June, and signed a newbie to get through three qualifiers?

I think Celtic chose the right option, and it still didn’t help us get in, and ironically he was at fault more than one over the tie.

Izzy was around the world in Equador, in the week, Tyler Blacket trained in Lennoxtown all week, was selected, and fine IMHO for a difficult game in which to debut.

  23. Croppybhoy…PL has been meeting senior players

    .

May i ask where you got that from.

    Hail Hail

Don’t disagree with that but Rogic, travels around the globe with Australia last week start and Allan, at Lennoxtown all week training not even on the bench?

  26. Cowiebhoy…

Today in work, I for once had no argument, we have eleven individuals in the hoops. No unity and no direction from our manager.

I hope to be proved wrong as all I want is the best for our team and support, I amongst others on here are willing to give RD time, ffs… Try two up front, we aren’t playing in Spain, Germany or england.

  27. Incidentally , I see Spurs released Abadeyor today

Is he worth a short term deal ?

BSR, I do agree with that, but we knew we would be getting the money in, so could have made signing earlier, in my view

    Hail Hail
