James McPake’s absence tomorrow will be a blow to Hibs and a significant boost to Celtic. Hibs are short on cover in all areas and McPake, their captain, is an instrumental component in their defence. Celtic are without the suspended Victor Wanyama but they are far better provisioned all over the field, especially in central midfield.
Do you remember the good old days when a football club would be able to spin a load of old tosh to the media, who would report to an incredulous public? This is far more difficult in the multi-channel internet age.
The BBC yesterday reported the headline “Former chief executive Charles Green is cleared of having close links with former Rangers owner Craig Whyte”, although the article itself proclaims a less ambitious “will be cleared”.
All fine and good, but I scoured several articles on this subject for mention as to whether or not the Rangers International internal investigation considered evidence from both sides – the key fact in this story, but one which was missing from reports. Fortunately an Internet Bampot stepped in to help all those in the media. I’m away to check all the updated reports reflecting the new information……
Willie Wallace will be signing copies of his autobiography from 2pm until 4pm at Waterstones on Sauchiehall St. Get your Cup Final weekend off to a Lisbon Anniversary start!

No big screens in London for CL Final, a legacy from Manchester no doubt.
Popped in to say having a kid free afternoon with my beautiful wife, having a pint and listening to a jazz band.
Cup Final tomorrow, ticket on mantle piece.
Sun shining and God has given me a lot to smile about.
Have a great weekend CQNers and…
COME ON THE SON’S OF DAN!!

And,much as I love the fella playing for THE HOOPS,Joe Ledley missed too much of the season to be in that team.
Sign for Celtic and you become a zero-ask Lubo.

Did you know that Sarti played in the 1957 EC Final for Fiorentina when they lost 2-0 to Real Madrid?
Not a lot of people know that!

Did we not clean up the reserve trophies as well?
You started the cleaning yet?

Daly is not a young lad beginning a career in football. He has made his bed in the knowledge of what lies ahead……
……………..
He certainly has but can only think his decision is based on money. Certainly not on trying to improve his skills at the highest level possible.
I also believe he has not fully understood the levels of Racism at Spivco.

Agree, Commons would be in anyone who has a clue about football’s team of the season
Daly has made his decision.
The best course for us is to completely ignore the guy.
For years we were outraged at their bigotry, still are.
However, how perverse is it for us to object to them doing what they have been accused of not doing for decades?
To continue to debate what every club should be doing, portrays us as the bigots.
The boy did it to earn his Daly bread, no more, no less.
Leave the bigotry where it has always rested.

Howdy!
I think we did – if Celtic had had a team playing in the Juniors we would probably have cleaned up there as well!
Plenty of time for the cleaning!

Daly has made his decision.
Was not objecting to his move and certainly not from a perverse bigoted view.
He can do what he wants and well done to them if it is part of a strategy to combat sectarianism and racism. I look forward to their next few Irish Catholic signings.
Jousting doubting the wisdom of his move at a personal level for him,
Guys , I know i’m joining a long list , but if anyone knows of any spares , give me a shout at sannabhoy@thekanofoundation.com
As a low blow , it’s for one of our helpers ! :-P

@_garymVictor Wanyama named in the UCL Final Programme as one of the players of the tournament. Still not good enough for YPOTY in Scotland…

I left Govan when I was 12, which would be a long long time before you were 5. Hahaha. Honest, you young yins. :))

I agree with thomthethim, the best tactic is to totally ignore Daly. He did it for money, he is in twylight of his career, probably well off but not to the extent that he is set up for life. Could be earning a million gross off them over next 3 years which probably would set him up for retirement. If he is crap for them we could well be calling him Agent Daly next year.
Googybhoy ,
Not on to you at all.
In fact, I agree with you.
There are some of us though, who feign indignation at the move, as if it is some sort of “betrayal”.
Probably the same ones who have been attacking them for their sectatrian policies; as have we all.

Check out Celticbars.com under “Spain.” There are three or four pubs on the island.
Good luck.

A couple of Kano Foundation points.
1. Thank you to everyone who offered to sponsor a seat as part of our It’s a Grand Old Team to See campaign. We’ve now got all the seats sponsored – another magnificent effort from CQN , KDS , The Huddleboard , HomeBhoys and OverandOver . I know i’ve said it before but i don’t tire of it so get used to hearing me repeating myself – We are the best family in the world , and like any family , we are always looking out for our own .
As a small aside on the seat sponsors , we have a seat , donated anonymously , which will be dedicated to our own Pablophanque and which will be beside a seat sponsored by The Boy Jinky. Those that know the story will need no explanation of the significance .
2. If anyone can spare 20 mins tomorrow and are going to the game , we’re looking for some help to hand out leaflets and help raise our profile . We’re meeting at the garage (Esso ?) on Aitkenhead Rd at 1:30 . It would mean a lot to get 15-20 guys handing them out and spreading the word .
St Stivs , 1:30 . Esso Garage , Aitkenhead Rd..

It is well-known that Brunel built a masterpiece of a railway-but the terminal,Paddington,is in the middle of nowhere!
There may be trouble ahead…..
FANTASTIC DANSO 1888 ………. had a lump in my throat when the LIONS paraded around the park…..remember to this day, the atmosphere inside Celtic Park …… I was 17 then and didn’t quite take in the enormity of the achievement ….it hit me a few days later….thank you for the memory……HH
iniquitousiv Many Thanks
JON DALY signing for the huns?
Is he mad?
No. He has a very uncertain future to look forward to once his career is over.
He has chosen the best deal for his bank balance and for his family’s future.
I don’t envy him having to make that choice,I doubt it was easy.
But I genuinely cannot wish him the best of luck in his new venture-though I hope he enjoys the fruits of it.
I wish Daly well on a personal level. I think he is a brave boy.
The signing is a positive move in my opinion. It’s the first small step in trying to eradicate a cancer among the Zombies.

No probs mate. Looks like we are in agreement.
Mojo signing for them all those years ago changed nothing.
Why does anyone think Daly’s signing will change anything?
Not a chance.
