SERGIO AGUERO fired a three-goal warning to Celtic as he dismantled the Bundesliga outfit at The Etihad tonight.

The Argentinian striker claimed his second European hat-trick of the campaign – the other was in the qualifying stage against Steaua Bucharest – as they warmed up for their visit to Glasgow on Wednesday, September 28.

Aguero thumped in his first in the ninth minute as he timed his run to perfection to the near post to meet a left-wing cross and ram the ball beyond keeper Yann Sommer.

His second came from the penalty spot in the 28th minute when he sent the Swiss international No.1 the wrong way with an expertly-taken effort.

And he capped it all off with his trio in the 77th minute when he raced clear onto a clever Raheem Sterling through pass to dummy Sommer and slide the ball in from an angle.

He went off before the end and his replacement, Kelechi Iheanacho, supplied the fourth goal in stoppage time with a close-range drive.

Kevin De Bruyne was impressive, too, with an energetic and dynamic display in midfield.

Manager Pep Guardiola had stern words with centre-back John Stones during a lull in play in the 20th minute and the England international cut out the needless frills after that.

All in, a good night for Aguero and City. He’s not Lionel Messi, but he will be a massive threat to the Hoops at Parkhead.
As for the Germans? They’re there for the taking!
