    Not bothered about hun result, they have to play the same amount of games as us with a inferior squad. Plus possibility of a stadium ban in the EL too😂

    Neil couldn’t afford to risk taking Odsonne off at 65mins, you said in your post he is a bit hit & miss.. Cluj at home has been done many many tines , I think Neil picked the wrong team … but hit & miss ??? If Neil has “rested” Odsonne or James it was him that would have been slaughtered if AIK has notched a quick goal or two …. Neil has to make sure tonight was the objective… Away in Europe a draw with Cluj and three wins … 100% record in spl and admittedly a win against Dunfermline in the cup (after the Cluj debacle) … which I think the players need to shoulder the blame for being in control and in front in three separate periods of the game, maybe Neil does better away from Celtic Park :-)

     

     

    Terrific result tonight, we needed as club to be in the draw tomorrow … sometimes things are never as good as you think but more so they are never as bad as you read online :-)

    POT 1 looks very strong

     

    POT 2 and POT 3 look very similar in quality stangely , no real drop in standard POT 3 could be POT 2!

     

    POT 4 Looks rank , hard to find a proper team.

    Great result tonight, scoring four against the Swedish champions on their own pitch. Delighted.

     

    But a blind man can see that we need a quality settled defence and, when we get that, we will be a truly formidable side.

     

    We are so close! All we need to do is shut the door at the back. We have a few days to fix this – so fix it!

     

     

    And I might be in a minority of one, but I couldn’t care less about what the huns are doing. We don’t benchmark ourselves against establishment-backed liars, thieves, racists and criminals.

     

     

    Europe’s our benchmark, and the sooner we click onto that the better IMO.

    There was a moment in the first half when Gordan was clearly coming for a ball when his centre half [cant remember which one] panicked and headed it……..it was a clear sign of players unfamilure with each other.

     

    Whatever NL settles on he needs to stick with it for a period and give them a chance get used to each other.

    Huns have got mettle this season. They didn’t flinch tonight. This season will not be easy for us.

     

     

    My worry for Sunday is our defence. Already fragile – we don’t keep clean sheets – we are likely to be decimated by injury.

     

     

    Add in the ref and the hostile crowd and I’m worried.

     

     

    We have much more class in our team, but we will concede goals. I’d happily take a draw now.

    Tomorrow’s EL Group draw at 12 noon (on BT Sport and UEFA.com) has 4 pots of 12 teams, total 48 teams.

     

    We are ranked 3rd in Pot 2 (15th overall) and Huns are 10th in Pot 4 (46th overall), strangely one place above Cluj (ranked 47 out of 48 !). Shows rankings don’t really reflect current form.

     

    Let’s hope for a decent draw giving us a fair chance at qualifying from the group, and Huns luck in draws runs out and they draw Sevilla, PSV Eindhoven and Wolves !

    I watched most of the Sevco game on my phone tonight. They’re still garbage. Very little creativity and a dodgy defence. If we can supply Eddy, Jamesy and Ryan near their box we’ll create chances. No matter what the result is on Sunday we’ll still win the league.

    Tonight shows we’re pretty close to a CL team middle to forward and barely an EL team at the back.

     

    I love wee Lenny but he shouldn’t be anywhere near the Celtic job.

     

    Everyone could see he should have taken OE off at HT. Especially, given we are at Ibrox on Sunday. What’s the point of Griff and Bayo on the bench if he doesn’t bring them on when the game is practically won?

     

    If he field teams this gung ho in the group stages we’ll be picked apart with this defence.

     

    It’s a great result at the end but nowhere near as emphatic as it sounds. Thank God that shot hit the post in the second minute.

    Totally agree. Much as I like Bitton ,we shouldn’t have to be playing him at CB in crucial games and with Jozo having glass knees we might have to think about Elhamed at CB. We also shouldn’t be reduced to playing Ralston at RB as he looked well off the pace tonight. A settled ,well drilled and solid defence is a must for Europe and 9iar . The board has only a few more days to get the squad up to scratch.

    Oh come on. At 65 mins, AIK needed to score 4 goals to beat us. They were crap last week and not a lot better tonight. Neil doesn’t trust his players. Jamesie and Odsonne should have been wrapped in cotton wool at 60-65 minutes and subs brought on Bayo and Morgan. It’s all right to trumpet his record so far this season but he not only lost to Cluj, he royally screwed up. No matter how you dress it up the errors he made were beyond belief. It was a huge game and we should have won against a team that were not as good as us. It was the biggest and most important game of our season so far.
