KRIS Commons has handed Celtic a massive boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Ajax by recovering from injury to take his place in the starting XI.
The inclusion of the influential attacker is the only change from the team that took on Ajax in the corresponding fixture in Paradise two weeks ago, which the Hoops won 2-1 courtesy of goals from James Forrest and Beram Kayal.
Should Neil Lennon´s men take another three points tonight in the Amsterdam ArenA, it will put them in a terrific position to progress to the last 16 of the competition for the second year running.
And you can keep track of all the action on the club´s official Twitter feed: @celticfc
Gutted. Sitting in schiphol heading back to ecosse, going to miss the match!
Hoping for a good result!

I think the Fox team in the USA have forgotten Celtic are playing today. It’s a shame for them that they don’t have what we take for granted. Can’t wait for the game to start

Seriously, you think that about our bench? Calling Celtic players, that obscene word, half an hour before this huge game? Why?

Time to sign out…
Watching games is a solitary experience nowadays, my wife just doesn’t get it and she’d prefer if I didn’t. “You get too excited, too involved, it’s not that important”… but it is!
Finding a ‘Celtic’ bar here in South Britain isn’t really an option as it would mean driving and I can’t master the art of watching the ‘tic without a drink. Never could, but then never
needed to, my preferred viewing point in days gone by was in the jungle and entering those
hallowed stairways without a few cans of beer and/or a bottle of Four Crown was just not socially acceptable, that’s where the die was cast.
Sky TV’s not an option. Careful planning has allowed us to retire a few years earlier than the government says we should. Retirement’s great though I’m on my boat, a Dutch built steel tub with twin engines in a West London marina, tucked up in the aft cabin lurking on CQN.
We haven’t even got a TV aerial so can’t get sucked into the vegetative state that is a large part of today’s tabloid television experience, there’s always plenty to do on the boat & It’s too early anyway for our ‘television years’ life phase. “live without TV, madness, not possible, I’ll have to talk to the wife”, but it’s been a year now and we’re still sane.
As the wifi’s not great dodgy streaming sites are a definite nono. The constant buffering screws up my blood pressure and the consequent streams of profanities pepper my soul.
So, as
I’ve done all season….
It’ll be Channel 67 at 11pm in bed in my hoops after logging of CQN & carefully dodging the result before.
Pretty experienced line-up + bench has enough options to cover any eventualities.
IMO – this is a must not lose match tonight. A draw would be great and would almost certainly guarantee European football after Christmas – a win gives us a great shout of reaching the last 16.
Good luck to the Bhoys tonight!

Tonight´s team:
CELTIC (4-4-2) Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Van Dikj, Izaguirre; Forrest, Kayal, Mulgrew, Commons; Samaras, Stokes
Subs: Zaluska, Fisher, Rogic, Ledley, Boerrigter, Pukki, Balde

Joe Corrigan at the match tonight expect a bid in the January window just one of many I expect!
In theory we have some speed on the bench in Derk, I cant spell BOERIGGTER, and Balde.
I hope we bring them on late to run the ball down into their corners as we comfortably hold on to our lead.
